I got this alarm clock for our 5 year old. We have not had to use the alarm function yet, but I have tested it and it works great! We’ll need it come school year. We love the fact that we can set it to the radio to wake up, which is just what I wanted for her, along with the sunrise function. You can also set how loud the wake up music/tone is and how bright the sunrise function gets. I felt like the manual for set up was thorough and explained how to do the set up well. She enjoys the sleep timer function at bedtime, to have fun colors move across the clock while playing soft music to fall asleep to. I like that it’s easy enough for her to work on her own now that it’s all set up. She just has to hit one button to turn it on at bedtime and that’s it. After a month of use we like it so much I bought a second one for our other daughter! Overall I feel it’s a great value for the functions you get!The only drawback I have is wishing you could set the alarm for whatever days of the week you need (similar to a phone alarm). As it’s made you can set the alarm for M-F, Sat-Sun, or M-Sun. It would be nice to turn it off for just the individual days during the week I know the kids won’t have school, but not a dealbreaker.

I love this alarm. It has so many features and so many options. This is my first sunrise alarm and it really helps to gently lighten the room gradually before the alarm goes off. I have it set to music and it also starts gently and increases volume gradually. It takes a little time due to all the options to set up but it's not difficult to set it up and it's worth it for the features. I had one issue that I contacted the company about and they were fast to respond. Highly recommend this product and seller. Just a reminder, if you have an issue with any product try contacting the seller before you return and leave negative feedback.

I got this alarm clock to use as a sunrise light in my bedroom. It is bright and does a good job to help me wake up. I read a bunch of reviews before choosing this clock. There are lots of good things about this light and others have mentioned those in their reviews. Here are a few unexpected things I found about the light:1) You can hide the time so it doesn't display, but it will turn on when the alarm turns on, and then it stays on even when the alarm has been turned off. So you have to manually turn off the time display after every alarm (aka every day) if you don't want to see it.2) The sunrise light of the alarm stays on for only 35 minutes, then shuts off automatically. I found this weird since so many of the other time duration settings are customizable.3) The sunset light (like the cool color-changing settings) can be set to last for a certain duration in Fall Asleep Mode, but then shuts off suddenly. The manual says it should gradually diminish, but there is no slow fade down. I found this weird because if the sunrise light can do a slow fade on, why can't the sunset do a slow fade off? Maybe I did it wrong.I thought about returning this but ultimately kept it because it looks nice on my shelf and it is doing a good job of helping me wake up in winter when it's so dark in the mornings. I wish the Fall Asleep Mode fade worked because the colors are so pretty.
