I have a unique set up for our projector given it's in a siting room that is almost 20' long and was hindered by the ability to mount it from the ceiling (Celing is sloped and about 14' high). I was able to mount this to the wall and run all the wiring through a channel to the component cabinet below. Works great and it's been holding an Epson Home Cinema projector for a couple months now. I highly recommend finding a stud to mount at least one side in and use larger anchors then suggested. I also added washers onto the bolts just to ensure it didn't slip through since the head size appeared pretty close to the holes on the base bracket.

Doesn’t work with mini projectors. Product seemed quality but it didn’t work for my projector since it only has a single screw mount.

This projector hanger worked out great for hanging my Panasonic projector from a pergola to watch movies outside. It's pretty sturdy but will bounce around a little in the wind. The directions were convoluted and confusing at times, and I ended up just making it work. The screw pattern on my Panasonic was not an exact match for the arm setup so I really had to play with it to get them to line up. I'm glad I bought this because I can leave it in place and just remove the hanger bracket and leave it attached to the projector for next time. This was a solid buy.

Looking at the manual, it doesn't actually have an official way to 'flush mount' to the ceiling without the extendable arm, despite it being prominently advertised on this page.The bracket that mounts to the ceiling uses M6 bolts to attach to the arm, and then the arm uses M5 bolts for the part that connects to the projector. I think using the M5 bolts to go directly to the part that connects to the projector is going to be fine, but if I knew this was going to be a bit of a hack to mount it, then I'd have bought something else.
