'Used for a custom bend on a 1979 Jeep J10 right off a non-stock exhaust manifold. I guess I was expecting something more like the aluminum ones but this has some thickness and is steel so it may last longer than I planned. I was just thinking this for a temporary fix for my safety inspection until I replaced the entire system but this may keep me on the stock one for a while. It will not do super tight bends by any means but the interlocking pieces make it very sturdy.

I used this to fix a missing piece of pipe on my jeep. I also used a tailpipe/muffler sealer. I hope to get a year out of this temporary fix. With the virus causing problems with businesses being open. This was a great option and made my jeep quiet again. So now it's back on the road and I won't be scared to get pulled over for being so LOUD.. So I'm very pleased.I do think it should come with 2 clamps but I knew from description that it didn't.

I have ordered this type of exhaust pipe from this brand a couple times now with no issues, for the first time this one came pretty messed up on both ends. Each end had small sharp jagged edges/burrs 360 degrees around (easy cut if no gloves on) and a deliberate small snip cut 90 degrees (looked like hand cut with side cutters) about a half inch into the pipe parallel to the direction of air travel. I imagine this is their effort to make it start to fit into different shapes of pipe that it isn't designed for.I would rather they just beveled and dressed the edge of the cut they made inside and out and left it otherwise alone, if a person is doing their own exhaust they probably don't need the factory making poor grade cuts and snips for them, they can do that on their own. If the factory is making a cut it should be something better than we can all do on our own with tin snips.ID and OD were spot on as advertised, included clamp worked fine. Bending radius is about where you can effect a 3" centerline offset dogleg into a straight line over about 12-18" of pipe.

Update: The lifetime of this unit turned out to be only two months. (March 4th - April 28th.) Recently, my exhaust began to rattle. I inspected this pipe today and the entire thing is free floating! The metal pipe around the clamps has completely broken. Also the clamps are so rusted their not coming off. (I even wrapped my pipe in woven heat resistant metal wrap. So a bare metal application would probably last less.) I could imagine this happening to others and it just falling off on the highway randomly. This "Flex-pipe" will not replace the part it is intended to replace. It barely flexes when I grab both ends and crank it over my knee. Even then, it only bends slightly. I don't know if this is going to work at all or break the bushings for my entire exhaust because it provides no compensation for vibration. Also, it only comes with 1 clamp. So order another, but the clamps do not include lock nuts. (These clamps + vibration = Your exhaust falling apart while driving.) I'd recommend screw type band clamps.Overall, I'd say avoid this item. But if you're on a budget with a broken exhaust.... Get a replacement part and just clamp that on. :/

After going to two local stores looking for 2-1/4” ID flex and not finding any, I ordered these. Good product, as expected.

Seems like it's been used and set to me missing half a clamp and 5 inches from the pipeThe pipe also looks like it's been cut by a child with a pair of snips
