My 6 year old nephew and I had a good time playing with these. The sound quality was very clear and worked fine within the specified range. Smaller in size, which fit the 6 year old hand size well. Good quality for the price.

(This was a gift, so I'm relaying experience.) Range seems surprisingly good; at least half-to-a-mile. Coverage is affected by density of trees, etc. overall, very happy with reception, functionality.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my 8-year-old son in an attempt to provide him with more incentive to get outside to play. I'm overall very pleased with them. The only issue we had was making sure the frequencies aligned across the two devices and teaching the boys to NOT MESS with the frequency. Otherwise, they won't work. The range has been great. My son loves to give one to his friend who lives in the house behind us to use whenever he goes home to "check-in" before coming back to our yard for more outside time. The kids love to use them when I send them into the woods behind the house to search for sticks and fallen limbs for our bonfire. Overall, I recommend these. They're great. They haven't used the compass watches, but I just set them aside.
