This Walking Way 43mm slim UV filter came in a nicely padded square case. The case is slightly bigger than the typical ones I have for larger filter sizes. The filter was clean out of the box.I use UV filters only when shooting outdoors. This filter works well, I did not notice any degradation in the image quality. I do not use filters indoors but I tested it to work just fine. See a couple of images shot with and without the filter.I mounted this filter on my 35mm f1.2 manual focus lens. The lens cap fits fine over this filter. It is a nice filter to have to protect the lens front element from dust, scratches and fingerprints. So, this is a decent filter at a budget price and I recommend it.

This filter was easy to take apart. I used my bare fingers to turn the filter lens around until the inner ring and lens came out. (This is not recommended because you can break the glass and hurt yourself. You should use a lens spanner wrench just to be safe.)I can then use the outer ring as a slim spacer.

My photo compares the anti-reflection coatings of the Walkingway filter ($22) and a K&F Concept Nano-X filter ($45). The more expensive one performs noticeably better (as expected) despite having fewer coating layers (28 vs. 32). However, even far more expensive filters don't completely eliminate reflections. This example is just something to keep in mind for anyone hoping for a filter with minimal glare on a budget.I don't notice any loss of fine image detail with my Sigma 150-600mm lens and Walkingway filter, which is impressive at this price point. As with almost any protective filter, you will occasionally want to remove it in order to avoid unwanted reflections/glare in situations when a relatively bright light source is in the shot.I use this sort of filter to protect my lens from dirt/rain/saltwater/smudges, etc. For that purpose it seems like a decent option.

All good until the glass fell out during vacation, no more glass. Bought a new filter since I am outside the return window. Not the same one of course.

Looks nice but just didn't come across as perfectly transparent even to my eye. So I got a Nikon Neutral Clear filter which really does look like it's a better match for my lens and my photos.

I purchased this to use as a spacer between a step up ring and a the Walkingway lens ball filter and it works perfectly giving me the ability to adjust my focus and fill my frame. I have become a HUGE fan of everything Walkingway has and will probably buy everything they release simply because the company is wonderful to work with and the quality of the products for the money is unmatched. Thanks!!!
