YOU CAN USE PENCIL AND PEN! I looked through so many reviews to find minimal at best comments on writing utensils used. I use pencil on my calendars and the glossy type paper does accept pencil very well. So I’m happy to report-this is thicker paper that has zero shine to it!

It's a nice calendar. It is a great size. I just wish they hadn't crammed it into a box because when I rec'd it it was all crumpled up and the wiring was bent.

I like the size, easy to write multiple appointments on same day. Also there is a metal hook to hang it jnstead of just a paper hole to hang. The only thing i noticed was some holidays were not listed .
