It took me a little while to decide on size and color. There are so many wonderful colors to pick from.This jacket has everything I was looking for.It has a nice size hood with a wrap around collar fastened with a Velcro. This will definitely keep the wind out.I like the zipper front with an cover over it held with Velcro. Yet more wind and cold protection.There are nice long sleeves for me. Those have Velcro wrist wrap too! There is a thumb holes but I find them a bit snug for me.Finally, the waist and hip adjustments also keep out the cold.I feel that whomever designed this knew what they were doing.This will be great walking my dog on those bluster winter days, among other things.Oh, and there is a nice soft cozy lining too.73 yr old 5'6" 170# I struggled between L and XL but went with XL. Use the measurements closely.

ORIGINAL REVIEW (scroll down for update): I bought this jacket because I needed a decently thick, waterproof jacket because I am moving to the mountains for college. I absolutely despise jackets and never wear one even if the temperature gets below freezing where I live, (which it almost never does), because I just get hot and started sweating extremely easily. However I knew I had no choice now because I would be in a lot colder weather than I'm used to where the winds make it seem 10x colder, but I wanted a jacket that wasn't bulky but would keep me warm. I bought this because I thought it fit that bill and I was disappointed, but that may be because I got the wrong size. I feel like this doesn't fit like it looks in the picture as well if that makes sense. In the picture it looks like it would fit flat and to sort of your figure, but it doesn't. I usually wear a medium in all jackets, so I ordered one, because although I have a small torso, my shoulders are broad and my upper arms are a bit thicker so I need room to move them. I am 5'3" and 150 pounds. However I think this jacket is somewhat large. It kind of bulges out in the back and sides and fits a lot thicker. If I were to wear layers under this it would fit nicely, but I know I am not because I get hot SUPER easily and knew layers plus this jacket would be too much no matter how cold it was. Although I have not tried it out in cold weather, (which I will update this review when I do), I am 100% positive short sleeves and this jacket would be plenty warm for me. The lowest it will get on average where I am going will be around 20 degrees Fahrenheit with "feels like" temperatures being ever colder. I think I am going to return this for a small and see how that works for me. If you plan on layering, I would say order what size you normally do unless you are like me and always size up for jackets. However, this jacket is really nice material and I know it will hold up well in the weather I am moving to. It has plenty of outside and inside pockets to hold all your items and keep them dry. It's a steal for the price.UPDATE: I returned this jacket and reordered for a size small, blue jacket (which looks a lot cuter btw) and I love it, even though I hate jackets. It fits like I expected the first one to. It fits perfect for me to wear short sleeves or a thin long sleeve underneath, which is what I was planning on doing because I know this jacket will keep me plenty warm. I couldn't wear anything thicker than a medium thickness long sleeve shirt because of how it fits. It is a bit tight around my upper arms and shoulders, but a lot of my clothes fit like that because I am broad-shouldered and my upper arms are thicker, and it's fine with me. I love this jacket 100x more now that I ordered a smaller size, and a different color. If you're smaller than me (I'm 5'3 and 150 pounds, small torso and thick bottom half) and plan on layering, I think a small would work. However if you are my size or a little bigger and want to layer, order a medium. I usually wear size small shirts and the small fits me like I want and where I wouldn't have room to layer. I usually order medium jackets, but that size was too big and bulky for me in this jacket. So base what size you need off of this, but even if you don't like it, you get your return in the form of a gift card the day you drop your package off and can receive your new jacket in 2 days for free, so it's really no hassle.I love my jacket and am happy I returned and re-ordered! I will update my review to tell how well it holds up in mountain snow, cold, rain, and wind.

Previously my favorite Jacket was a $420 dollar Columbia jacket that was on sale at Macy's for $92. It was a fantastic jacket that was very warm and lasted years. That being said, even on steep discount it was more pricey than these Wantdo jackets, which is why the Wantdo jackets have taken first place. They are every bit as durable and warm as the $400+ jacket was, for a MUCH lower price.It was recently sub zero here with high winds (40+ mph) with whipping snow. I spent a considerable amount of time outside trying to free my car and the only cold part of me was my legs. The jacket kept me very warm in what was some of the worst conditions I have ever been in, and that's saying a lot in the northern reaches of New York. Because the jacket is so good at keeping my core warm, my hands and feet almost never get cold either. 10/10 would recommend.

This coat is AMAZING! I ordered one for my daughter and I. I ordered a 'pink' one for her and a purple one for myself. 4 stars simply because her 'pink' coat is actually more of a pale salmon color or pastel peach if you will. Other than that this coat does exactly as promised! I ordered a size up and it fits great! Still ample amount of room for multiple layers if needed. The amount of pockets makes it super convenient! Love this coat thus far.

Used this jacket for my first ski trip. I didn’t want to break the bank since I wasn’t sure if I would like it. This jacket delivered warmth, utility, waterproof-ness, and a great day all around! It has some important ski features including a snow skirt around your waist to keep snow out during wipeouts and several secure pockets. I zipped off the hood since it wasn’t needed for skiing, but nice to have. I was so warm that I only wore a single layer of thermals underneath this. Yes only 2 layers in 20 degree Colorado skiing! I highly recommend.

Was looking for a red coat for skiing & this one caught my eye. PROS: vibrant color, has a good weight, good insulation, roomy arms. CONS: when I put it on sizing looked to be an issue. After zipping it up, it felt like a nice snug hug around my mid section. Eventhough it was still comfortable, sorta, I prefer a little more room. I ordered the 2x (I'm 5'4", 230lbs wear 1x-2x depending on the cut). I reordered the 3x. If your curvy order a size up.

My only issue is, the sleeves could be longer. Otherwise it is so warm and comfy! I've lost a lot of weight and I'm so cold allmof the time so going out in the freezing cold, nope. This coat is perfect for me (aside from longer sleeves) excellent quality and a nice pop of color.

Zip broke after 2 months of purchasing the jacket feel very disappointed.

We bought this for my fiancee for a trip, so far we have been in temps as low as -17 and she said it kept her nice and warm.

Even though the coat was too small for me, it was made with a lot of detail and quality. I absolutely loved the bright purple colour of the coat, it is well-insulated, and it's shoulder width, and sleeve lengths are perfection. Unfortunately, for me the coat was too short in the waist, but it's because I am incredibly tall and therefore long-waisted. So to be fair to the seller, the coat is gorgeous and a definite winner in terms of quality and warmth.
