The directions are a little vague. It states that it takes 4-6 hours for the powder to set in the water, but if using warm water, it accelerates the setting process. It does not tell you how by how long warm water shortens the process so you just have to wing it and check on it every 30 minutes. A bit annoying when you have an impatient child waiting to use the product.

My granddaughters had a blast making marbling pictures that I have now framed and on display. Each swirl in very bright colors.
