What is water soluble canvas?

How to use the water soluble canvas?
The 14 ct Soluble Canvas is used in exactly the same way as Aida when stitching.
1.You could choose any patterns you like, tack the canvas to the item or material and embroidery as usual.
2.After finishing the embroidery, remove the positioning line and excess water-soluble cloth,Place the finished embroidery in a bowl of water and rub it gently with your hands.
3.The water-soluble cloth will disappear but the pattern will remain on the item.

Overpriced but I had worked with similar products in the past, so I wasn’t too upset. Because of small size it was challenging to use it the way I needed to, but I finally got my embroidery done. I had tested both my fabric and this product in water before using so I did not expect any problems. I gently used tap water and my fingers to wet product until it dissolved. After drying my fabric is now full of what look like grease stains! There is no way to resolve this, and now the project I was working on for my granddaughter is trash! DONT USE THIS PRODUCT!!

Do not buy the first image is very misleading! They are all sort of messed up and bent! Far far too expensive for what you are getting. Never buying from here again!

This is a bit more substantial than i'd expected, makes washing it away a bit more labor intensive than i'd expected, though i cut away as much as i can before starting that. The holes are spaced a little farther than i'd expected as well. The whole thing is rather small so you have to use smaller hoops or cut off a piece and tack it down. basically it feels like someone bought a full sized roll of this stuff and is selling it off a small piece at a time at a major profit. will not be buying again

I did only a small test piece on a scrap of fabric. I used a small hoop to hold the fabric and the canvas. It's not quite as easy as using normal aida cloth, but I suppose that if you want to cross-stitch on regular fabric, your choice is to use this or, perhaps to stamp or use some type of transfer on the fabric. First, you will need to ensure that this is aligned properly on your material and that it doesn't shift in the process of hooping it, or else your design won't be perfectly oriented on the fabric - this would matter if it happens to be a garment or any other type of object, as opposed to just plain fabric that you will use later. Then, you do need to be careful that it doesn't shift as you start to use it. It's more of a guide than anything. When I use this on a larger project, I think I will do all the stitches in one direction and do all the outside stitches first, just to secure it in place and avoid shifting. To wash it out, I trimmed what I could, then soaked it in hot tap water for a few minutes, swished it around, left it sit a couple more minutes, then agitated it again, and it seemed to dissolve away completely. It might not have taken that long, but I was just trying to ensure that it dissolved completely. If you need this in a wider size, you will need to put two, pieces side-by-side, slightly overlapping, ensuring that the holes are perfectly aligned. It seems that this width is standard - I looked around to see if it's available elsewhere in wider sizes, and this seems to be the only width available, and it's a pretty expensive product, no matter where you look. So, if I want to add a cross-stitched design to a garment or accessory, I will be using this water soluble cloth, as I think it will probably be the best way to get the job done with nice, even stitches.

This was a tiny piece and was folded in 4s so it has permanent ridges that you can't get to be evened out..... don't waste your money.

Hate this product. Very small. Very thick. Creases make it difficult to use flat. Then removing it after sewing was extremely difficult. Says to use hot water, but we ended up using the hose. Then followed up with hot water poured over it to remove the excess plastic. I will stick with waste canvas for future projects.
