Had a different brand of pond pump that pumped very slow. I was able to use this pump to water the grass from the water barrels. Yay!

Pump is not self priming, I primed the pump and it started working correctly for 5 minutes when the motor burnt up. I was using it to empty a waterbed and it only had to lift the water less than 2 feet as the hose was going out of the window.

I liked & purchased it by price, self priming ! My old one has to be manually primed &it took 2 to 3 tries to get it b going ! This one also has a superior water .intake unit !

I was going to try this pump tonight to water my garden via my rain barrel. Well, because they supply a female to male hose I couldn’t try it. I’m not sure why they wouldn’t either supply a female to female hose or an adapter. You need the female end to hook to the rain barrel and female to the pump. So now I have to make a trip to the hardware store before I can even test it out. Very disappointed.
