It does go over the generator, but is a bad fit and NOT as advertised. Don't buy it. I wish I had read the reviews first.

I purchased a large generator and no one made a cover to fit the machine. This cover would not fit and did not look at all like the photos. There was no Velcro or quality to this cover at all. I returned for a credit. Return process wa easy and quick!

Received a plain cover with none of the features promised in description. Returning.Update: decided to keep the generator cover as it fits unit perfectly and appears well made. We will see. Retaining low rating due to deceptive advertising. If the company/seller corrects this issue, we are happy to re-evaluate our opinion.

There was no velcro opening or strap and buckle as shown. It was very thin vinyl.
