Got these to use when I replaced the old sprinkler valves. I could have use the original caps which were installed on there before however those were old and not much of the grease was left in them and they were a lot more expensive at those pool supply stores. If you need these buy them, they're worth it.

Using these for low voltage wiring connections. They work fine, silicone is a bit tacky but does work, but you are limited to a maximum of two 16 gauge stranded wires. The only complaint I have, is the Star split opening to get the wires into the wire not. The plastic is very rigid and sometimes is difficult to get the wire inserted without it coming fraying apart to twist them into the nut.

At the time of my purchase there was one negative review stating they don’t work, but given the fact that there is nothing too complex about a water proof wire nut and the price being the cheapest I could find for waterproof wire nuts, I took a chance. I used them for outside landscape wiring and can happily say, they do what they are supposed to, which is keep the connections from getting exposed to water.

Splicing 12/2 low voltage wire to low voltage lighting was no big deal , however splicing 2 - 12/2 wires is the limit & possibly 1 light . Spicing 3 - 12/2 wires I recommend a larger wire nut . Other then that , they did the job & shouldn't fail for years to come .
