Your cart is empty.The Watt-Man Thermo-Bob 2 is a cooling system modification for the KLR 650. In stock form, the KLR runs too cool when ridden in temps below about 80F. The colder outside, the worse a stock bike is. The Thermo-Bob 2 eliminates the inconsistent engine temperature and keeps it running at an optimal 195 degrees. Ultimately this leads to better performance and a longer lasting engine.

I live in a cool climate but every year take a trip where it gets up in the 90(s). My KLR never really was at the right temperature and always ran cold. The thermo-bob works great and now the temperature is right in the middle. The instructions made are clearly written and the installation was pretty easy. It worked perfectly on my recent 1,000 mile trip through the Cascades to Crater Lake.

I put this product on my Kawasaki KLR 650 because the temperature went down and up very drastically. It was put on and now the temperature is always in the middle and there are no overheating or sudden jumps. I recommend it for the KLR 650, I don't know how it works on other bikes, but on these bikes it works perfectly

Just bought a used 2015 KLR 650, on Oct 30, 2018. This is my second KLR 650 Previously had a 2005 KLR650 with a thermo-bob. It is a very simple installation. You can find video on youtube, on how to install. The thermo-bob 2 will fit any KLR 650, other than bikes with oversize fuel tank. They have four different styles at watt-man.com for other water cooled engines,and oversized tank on a KLR 650. He also has taken time to make up charts and explain runing temperature with and without one. The package came earlier than expected. Had more trouble getting plastic side panels back on than installing thermo-bob. Before installation temperature gauge would barely come off second cold line, and go up to 3/4 hot when idling, now it takes less time to warmup. water gauge stays in the middle when engine warmed up, and so far has never reached 3/4 while idling. I would recomend it to any KLR owner.

Kit came missing parts. Specifically the actual thermostat. Finally have time to tear the back down and install just to discover I don't have all the needed parts.

I put this on my 96 klr 650. It keeps the temps a alot more stable. Also very straight forward to install.
