I used this striping to fill tiny gaps in other weather striping used on sliding doors and windows. It is high quality, very adhesive, and easy to use.

I LIVE IN AN OLD APARTMENT AND THE DOORS ARE OLD AND HAVE GAPS. THE COLD AIR WAS COMING THROUGH THE GAP. I ORDERED THE THICK ONE AND IT WAS TOO THICK BECAUSE I COULD NOT CLOSE MY DOOR. I THEN ORDERED THE THIN ONE AND IT WORKED GREAT. I CLEANED THE DOOR PRIOR TO ADHERING AND IT HAS NOT PEELED OFF. THE SPONGE MATERIAL WILL FILL THE GAP IN WELL AS THE DOOR IS UNEVEN AND THE GAP IS A DIFFERENT WIDTH FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. I COULD STAND BY THE DOOR AND FEEL THE COLD AIR COMING IN. SINCE I PLACED THIS ON THE DOOR, IT HAS STOPPED THE COLD AIR FROM COMING IN.

There were small gaps of light showing randomly along the sides of my garage doors when I closed them. I have exterior weatherstripping on the outside of the door frame but I wanted it airtight. Light translates to space where insects could enter and during colder weather, warm air will escape and cold air enter. I ran these adhesive strips down the sides of my doors when they were closed. I turned out the lights. The area was pitch black with no light gaps anywhere. The time spent was literally minutes and now I have truly insulated doors and expect my energy cost savings will easily pay for my effort and the garage will be much warmer. The product is well made, easy to install and inexpensive.

The sticky side is just that, the foam/rubber side (not sure what it is) but it’s firm but squishy if that makes any sense 🤷😜. I myself am about to order more just to have on hand.

Even though I cleaned the surfaces before the application and they were dry, few days after the application most of the product fell off. It was not even raining. Not worth buying at all.
