What I like about this product is how the burgers take shape once you use it. What I do is use hamburger patty paper. I put it in the fiberglass with the beef in the middle and press on it. I season my meat and chill it overnight before I use the burger press. Once I press the burgers I chill them overnight before I grill them. It keeps them fresh and solid. It also keeps them cool. Once I press the burgers I use a spatula to lift them up and finish shaping them with my hand. Really an effective tool. It’s a must have and it’s important to have to better your game at grilling.

This saved me so much time when trying to get dinner ready for hungry kids. The press is double sided. I used the 1/4 pound side and it worked great. It was a little difficult releasing the patty from the press, but it may just take a little more practice.

It's a burger press. There's not much to explain, but here goes. I weigh out my individual meat portions, use Norpro square wax paper on bottom and top, and press, done. You now have a raw burger patty. The wax paper helps release the burger from the press, and it keeps the burgers from sticking to each other, if like me, you stack them on top of each other. Even if I don't freeze the burgers for later, I usually keep them in the freezer while I get the grill ready. I prefer to make 6oz (1/3 lb) burgers, so, I use the 1/4 lb side of the press plate. The burgers come out at approximately 4.5 inches in diameter. I would like it if the diameter was a little larger. As other reviewers have mentioned, on the inside of the cover is a small dome for creating a dimple in the center of the patty. I think that if you press the burgers compact enough, and use lean enough meat, the dimple is kind of overrated, but it's there if you are a dimple fan. As far as burger size shrinkage goes, I think a larger diameter press would address any potential size loss issues. The press is three parts in total. All parts are plastic. The handle attaches to the top part by way of a bayonet style fitting. All parts are molded, so, no meat gets up into the handle from the inside. By removing the handle from the cover, you are able to thoroughly clean all parts. When pressing the burgers, I prefer to keep one hand clean from the raw meat, that is the hand that I press with, then there are no worries about getting meat on the outside of the cover. (That is not to say that you still shouldn't use proper kitchen clean up, and sanitizing practices to prevent contamination.)I give this product a 4 star review, even though there are some things I would like to see changed. It is a simple kitchen tool that works well... with wax paper. If you have read the reviews and still choose to complain about your patties not releasing because you didn't follow the advice of other reviewers, that is on you. Unless you are making a hundreds of burger patties at one time, this is an inexpensive kitchen tool that will give you consistent burgers.

This is a very simple tool, and it works.Couple of tips:1. If you find the patties sticking in the top, spray the top with cooking release spray (like Pam). I've had one batch of beef that stuck, the others didn't. No idea why. They were all labeled with the same fat content.2. Rock the lid back and forth and bunch to evenly spread out the patty. Do this by grabbing it like you're a Canadian eating a burger (ie, with your fingers on the bottom and your thumbs on the top) and alternating which side you are squeezing while rotating it around a bit. Don't use the handle on the top for this. Then, apply even pressure at the end via the handle to get a uniform thickness burger.

Hamburger sticks even with spray. Rips up the patties when you try to remove.

Kwaliteit is goed, echter gebruiksgemak is minder. Lastig om je burgers eruit te krijgen. Ook is het formaat best groot waardoor je 200 gram gehakt moet gebruiken voor een dikkere burger.
