This is a fantastic multipurpose torch adapter. I was excited to get this and pop is out of the box, take one of my cheap-o green propane bottles I normally use for camping, and test it out melting some ice. It worked just as expected....The torch wand comes in two pieces with a rubber washer in the middle for an air tight seal of the propane flowing through. Twist on the green can and there is a rubber washer which seals there as well. Twist the knob to the on position, light the ignite switch, and you're on your way. This torch has lit for me the first time every time, and it has never "stalled out" on me.The torch/flame itself is not as focus as a blow torch, it's a bit wider, but great for snow, ice, weeds, etc. I was able to easily melt to frozen snow with this, and am looking forward to burning the weeds that grow in crease where the my curb meets the blacktop. Great design and works as expected.

We have a pool with pavers around it and it seems there are constantly weeds popping up. I had been spraying with weed killer, but it seems like any time I sprayed within two feet of the water I would see telltale ripples where droplets had gone into the water. I got this to kill weeds and keep our water clean. My first try was not fully successful, as it was a windy day. Assembly was easy and I got our fat propane canister attached without problem. It lit on the first click, and I adjusted it according to the instruction not to open the valve more than an eighth of a turn. That gave a small flame that was not visible in bright light. I went over the area hitting weed after weed, but it wasn't always clear when was enough. Some weeds turned shiny and wilted- that was plain enough. Some weeds did nothing until finally turning black and smoking. After a couple days I can see a number of weeds that survived, including the biggest of the bunch; it had a black center but all the outer branches are healthy looking. Easy enough to go back, it's nice to know the results almost right away instead of waiting for the weed killer to take effect. It's quick and the torch is lighter than my pump sprayer filled with poison. I can't torch weeds in the pine straw beds . . so weed killer isn't dead yet. I will try hitting a weed or two in the lawn after it greens up, right now our zoysia is brown and I'd set the whole lawn on fire if I used the torch. Ergonomics are okay, it's maybe a bit longer than ideal for me at 5'-9, but a taller person will like it better. I need to buy a backup canister of propane, but it seems like this will last a while. Getting the flame level set is going to take some more use, on the windy day I used it the flame kept blowing out. I like how easy it is to set up, no mixing or pumping required, and it's much easier than pulling weeds. This is being added to my weed arsenal, and I like that with fire, the weeds won't develop a resistance to it like they can with weed killers. It's also nice to be spraying less poison around, especially for the swimming pool area.Edit 02/16/25: The directions aren't clear about this- turn the valve 1/8 turn for lighting, but then crank it up to torch weeds.Edit 02/27/25: After using this I found that some of the bigger weeds took a second application of fire to kill them. This is definitely a slower process than weed killer, we have an area of pavers around our pool that weeds try to get established this time of year, so I have to go out there every two or three days to get the new ones. When I spray weed killer the spray pattern is bigger than the flame pattern of this torch, and it just takes a spritz to get weed killer on the weed, even the tiny ones I didn't notice. So after using this I still will use it for the area close to the pool to keep any poison out of the swim water, but for anything ten feet away I'm going back to the weed killer. As for cost, the propane tanks cost about six and a half dollars for a sixteen ounce one and don't last all that long, but I don't know how the cost compares to the herbicide I've been using- that's not cheap either.

Reviewing: Weed Torch Propane Burner,34" Long arm,Weed Torch Flamethrower 50000BTU Output, Fire Starter,Charcoal Starter,Blow Torch with Flame Control and Igniter for Roof,Weed,Wood,Ice,Snow (Tank not included)The burner assembles easily, just screw the two tubes together. I used a 1 lb propane bottle (not included) and burned weeds for 30 minutes with the torch set as low as I could without the flame blowing out and had about 1/3 of the bottle left when I was done. The igniter works well and ignites every time so long as you have the valve about 1/4 of the way open. More or less and it may not ignite.I learned that if you get the torch too close to the ground it will blow out, but if you have a weed burning with an open flame you can sweep over it and the torch will ignite again without needing the igniter. The burner with a bottle installed is fairly well balanced and easy to use. It is also strangely satisfying to watch the weeds crumble and turn black. I should have gotten one of these sooner!

We had some ice buildup at the end of the driveway. Waited for a day where it was slightly above freezing, and torched it until it was fully melted. Worked great, even if I looked like a mad man to my neighbors.

If you own a house with a yard, then you know that weeds are an inevitability. Pulling them is no fun, and weed sprays generally aren't great for our environment, so I've used my plumbing propane torch on occasion to kill them, but that involves bending down, which is just as back breaking as pulling them. So I ordered this to give it a try. Now, it's full-on winter here, so there are no weeds to incur the wrath of this torch, but after assembling it (literally screwing the lower pipe into the upper pipe and handle), I attached a mini propane tank and let 'er rip. The flame was easy to ignite with the valve set open maybe 1/4 turn and when cranked up high the flame is pretty significant (see my photo). It feels well balanced in hand and the length of this keeps you fairly far from the business end of the torch. I didn't get to test this on weeds, but I see no reason why this wouldn't work as well as any other torch. And I can see this working great for starting fire pits, camp fires, etc.My only room for improvement thus far is it would be great if this had a control, like my plumbing torch, that both ignites and turns the gas on and off so you don't have to keep the flame going constantly as you walk around the yard torching weeds. But of course that would be more involved and add to the cost, but it would help save on the use of propane.I appreciate the fact that they included extra seals/gaskets, though I'm not sure how necessary that is unless you're constantly disassembling/re-assembling this torch. I don't have enough use on this yet to know how it's going to hold up. Really there's not a lot to go wrong other than the piezo igniter; I'm hoping that doesn't flake out prematurely like some of them can.
