Comes with a good selection of mounting hardware. The nut marked 'B' was what fit my Honda HHT35S trimmer with a M10x1.25 LH thread. I elected NOT to use the washer between the head and spacer as the instructions suggest, it just didn't make sense in this particular install. THe Honda spacer is splined to the shaft and thus must turn with the shaft. But... There is a chance of the head slipping on the spacer and 'friction welding' the plastic head to the spacer, I don't concider this to be a bad thing, you make your own choices. The original set of blades did a fine job for an hour or so of cutting grass and small blackberry shoots. Then I got into some blackberry shoots about the size of my thumb. The blades shattered at that point. I have another blade system that's made of steel that I'll install to attack the larger blackberries.Blades are very easy to change once you figure out how to do it.

I have a Stihl FS240 brush cutter. I really like this brush cutter head. I have a lot of light brush, including some small alders and willows, to cut around my house with many rocks and large pieces of wood hidden in the brush. In the past I used a metal cutting blade. By the time I finished I was always unable to avoid hitting some of the rocks; so, the blade would always have many small dings requiring me to sharpen it after each use. I have used it for at lest 10-12 hours, and have cut a large amount of the brush. This has really worked well. I have only had to replace one of the cutter blades after striking a large tree. The blade was very easy to change. I have cut many of the small willows and alders without any problem and the blades have hardly any wear on them. The only downside of the item is that the metal washer that came with it had too small of a hole to fit over the shaft the cutter attaches to. I fortunately had some washers with a larger hole and was able to get the head attached.I am very happy with this cutter and it has worked as advertised and has prevented me from having to keep sharpening my metal blade.I highly recommend it.

There is nothing wrong with this particular item but the concept of the plastic blades instead of the typical string is good but so far is more costly. I always used the plastic string that most weed whackers come with and it seemed to be a hassle when to change but then again I haven't tried many of the newer version weed whacker. I decided on converting to the blades and at first its great, easy and seemed to last a while but lately they wear down very quickly or break when they touch or hit brick or cement if used to edge the lawn. They do take adjusting to since they are strong and more intense than the string so it's easy to bump too deep into the ground or hit edges of cement brick rock etc.It would be great if they could make them either with a strong material or maybe softer but more rubbery or something. I would suggest if you plan to continue using the blades buy a large box or as many in a pack as possible to save money. Buying them in small packages like this can get expensive but it's all in how much you use your machine. I use the whacker once a week and can go through one of these packages everyone 2 months.

I was replacing an old head that had a similar bladed design but required disassembly to replace any worn blades. This one is fantastic. The blades take a beating before needing replaced and when that time comes they swap out with relative ease. The head itself goes on as easily as any other head.Durability is about par for the course with other types that I have tried but the ease of swapping the blades out when they are worn is what makes this thing really shine.Cutting power is about even with other blades as well. It goes through twig-sized growth with ease and can be used to cut weeds out of the ground and destroy some of their roots.Of course, as with any attachment like this, be careful in areas near things you don't want destroyed. This thing can grab and run away a bit and can be tough to keep from running at least a few inches when it grabs. Especially if you are revving at full power.Overall I am very happy with my purchase and recommend this attachment to anyone with a robust weed whacker that has some bigger brush they want to get through.

They do fine, easy to change out. However, it does pull to down making it hard to make an even cut. Also, around chain link fences if you hit the fence it will bog down the trimmer and tear up the plastic strips really fast. The strips are not very long so the cut path is about 4-5 inches smaller than regular string. Last, it tends to lay grass down rather than cut it so you may have to go over the spot more than once.

Does not fit Ryobi, as advertised. Bought it in the fall (along with a pack of replacement blades), and did not get time to try it before the snow. Now it it past the return period.

Flip blades around. I don’t know if it’s a lack of product testing or a desire to sell more blades but they install the blades upside down. With the flat side down the blades dive into the dirt, destroying your lawn and blasting dirt into your face. If you flip them around and have the flat side up, it works 10x better. Instead of diving into the ground they bounce off of the ground. Fit my Stihl perfectly. The people saying it damaged their weed eater probably shouldn’t be using power tools….

Bought it for my 20v Dewalt trimmer(the older non folding one). Once you find the proper nut in the kit for it you're pretty much done. It installs in seconds no tools needed. The initial performance is excellent, it still has lots of power for trimming with the new head. The overall head size is smaller and the blades appear shorter but because of that it has more cutting force then the origional head did. Cuts better now than it ever did before.

Did not fit my Ryobi one+ trimmer. No instructions for any models that dont have the top side of the spool head accessible. ALL the instruction videos are US guys using trimmers that DONT have protectors above the spool as is common in AUS.

It works really well. Think of it more as a brush cutter. It kicks back really brutal when you hit the ground. A tree. Fence. House.Keep that in mind. I still prefer it over my string because string is so annoying.Dont wear sandals!!

Took about 5 mintes to install on my Troybilt trimmer. Tried it out and it works well. Should help keep the foilage down around the edges.
