All cables and jackets are included. They even give you cables with different lugs on the ends (8 total). In other words, this kit will work on just about any bike. You get two types of jacket end caps -- black plastic and metal. Be careful with the metal caps. They are very thin and easily squeezed between your thumb and finger.

When I installed higher handlebars on my mountain bike none of the old brake or shifter cables would reach. These I could cut with a hacksaw to fit. End caps are flimsy and I accidentally crushed one when I stepped on it. Made do with one old one.

I used two shift cables. Both frayed upon trimming to length. Had to purchase cables elsewhere.

Used this set to replace all the cables and covers on an old bike. It got the job down and I would buy it again. The biggest challenge is that it is difficult to cut the sleeves cleanly and they tend to crimp when cut so expect to have to do a little cleanup on cut ends to get them ready to put an end cap on or to feed a cable through.The package did not come with the copper end caps. I'm not sure what they're for and I didn't need them but it's listed in the product so I would expect to get them.
