I repaired both rear doors on my 2000 F250 using these cables. Releasing the old latches was hardest part of the job. My original cable connectors were completely deteriorated so neither the top or bottom latches would release. I did have to reuse one of the plastic connectors from the old latch so don’t throw out the old parts until everything is working. Test the function of the latches before closing the door for the first time. There were no instructions included with the new cables and latches so watch a couple of YouTube videos that show you how to remove the inner door panels but once they are removed take a picture of the center mechanism so you will have a reference when reconnecting the rods to the new unit. The cable for the top latch needs to be removed because the latch installs for the top and cable is feed down through the door and reattach to the unit. You will need a set of socket torx bits to remove the screws and will have to drill out the rivets. I used screws and nuts to attach the new unit because I didn’t have any 1/4†rivets. You’ll need three for each side. Everything worked fine after the installation and I did spray the mechanism with white lithium grease to make things work smoother. Probably a good idea to replace both if they both the same age. Good luck.

This was a direct fit for my 2003 Ford F250 super cab! If you are doing this, once you get the door open, don’t let it shut until you have everything in place and snapped down. Not a hard job just patience needed. Also after I have driven it a few days, i have noticed that the interior noise is much less now. I'm assuming the locks on ends of cables were just that worn out. Again, this was an excellent product

Easy to install. One clip was to large to secure one of the rods. I removed one from the old one and used it. Doors work fine now.

The part came in a day earlier than it was supposed to. It was exactly like the factory part. Took minutes to install and now the door is repaired.

The driver side kit fit ok. The passenger side was not shaped correctly so I was unable to put all the bolts in. But it still seems to work
