Everything in the pictures was cut with this saw.I have owned this saw now for 18 months. I have used it for 100s of hours on scores of projects. This is the only scrollsaw I have ever owned, and over the past year and a half I have enjoyed getting to know this machine better and growing my skills to make more and more detailed designs.I recently made a set of 5, 100 piece puzzles as gifts for friends and family (see picture with some of the pieces). I also made some smaller puzzles. But I've done much more than just the pictured puzzles with my WEN scrollsaw. I've made tons of decorative seasonal items (a nativity, little Easter eggs, etc), toys for my kids (little animals), and little cutouts of movie characters that I gave to kids for Halloween. In October last year, I was repairing my garage ceiling, and needed thin wood shims to lower the drywall a little. I cut the shims to the exact width I needed using this saw (yes, this could be done with other saws, but all I've got besides this is a circular saw).We built custom shelving for our pantry and needed the shelves cut to a precise shape. Yep, you guessed it, my trusty WEN scrollsaw came to the rescue. I was replacing a closet rod and needed the new one cut to length. Do you know how hard it is to make it hold still while cutting with a circular saw?? Guess which saw I ended up using to cut the rod? WEN!My point is, this saw ended up being far more powerful and versatile than I ever imagined. It's stood the test of time, handled all sorts of materials, and keeps on chugging along.A few notes:- I use Olson Skip Tooth Pinless Saw blades. Pinless blades work great in this machine. Just use the included Allen Wrench to tighten the clamps down.- I ended up breaking one of my thumb screws because I was tightening it too much. I contacted Wen, and they sent me a new one. They also sent me a new clamp for the blade, since the broken screw was stuck in mine. Excellent customer service. I don't use the plastic part of the thumb screw anymore - just use the wrench - and I haven't had issues since.- The air pump doesn't blow much air because the bellows is a little too short. To fix this, I cut a thin rectangle of wood that fits on top of the upper arm of the saw. It sits between the bellows and the arm, and compresses the bellows when the arm moves. Now, the blower works great!- I have never tilted the table (always keep it at a right angle to the blade). I set the table stop right where I wanted it and it has never budged since. I check from time to time to make sure that it's still square, and it has stayed right where I put it.- Clamp the saw to the table while you use it (or use the included mounting holes to permanently mount it to a table). This cuts down on vibrations so much and really helps.- I recommend buying a "dead man" foot switch for use with this saw. That way you can control the blade movement on/off with your foot (kind of like a sewing machine). My foot pedal takes this saw to a whole new level! Before buying this saw I was skeptical as I had never heard of the WEN brand before, and was worried about getting a cheaply made saw. In the end, I went for it because I didn't want to spend 100s on another saw since I'd never even used a scrollsaw before. I am so glad that I trusted WEN because they delivered! This saw is my favorite tool.

Great price. Very well built. Very low vibration. Very easy to set up and use. The size is nice and same size as my last one. Very easy to adjust and use. Light weight but heavy enough to stay in place while to use. Very functional. You will be happy if you get one, I am.

It took less than 5 mins to get it out of the box and cut a template shape with it out of a 1 / 2" OSB board which was the scrap piece I had handy - normally I would use 1 / 4 " MDF or plywood for cutting my templates for router and inlay shapes. I got this primarily for template cutting. It came out of the box nearly completely setup. The table was at a 45 degree (for packing purposes). I quickly set it to 0 degrees and checked with a small square to verify that the blade and the table were completely square in both directions. The blade was already tensioned right. I had to connect the vacuum hose to the hole on top of the scroll saw head and adjust the blade guard height. All of which took about 5 mins (well maybe 10). The only thing that wasn't completely aligned well was the blade guard. It was a bit askew. I loosened the screw holding it, placed a flat piece of wood under it and tightened the screw back up. It also came with two spare blades, one pinned and another unpinned.I quickly drew a 2" heart on the OSB and cut it. It cut perfectly without much fuss.My only three complaints - and I am being nit picky:1) The air blowing at the cutting area is really weak. I didn't really see any benefit. I'll read the manual to see if there is any adjustments but it was basically like there was no air.2) dust collection is dismal. I connected a shop vac to the vacuum port but there was still dust everywhere and in fact very little dust at the bottom compartment where the vacuum port is. Very little dust makes it down there so nothing to really collect.3) The specs on the product page says "Brushless" under "Special Features", which I interpreted as implying a brushless motor. This is most definitely NOT a brushless motor. I can see the brush right on the motor. I guess I'll have to inspect the brushes every so often. It's a solid 4 star tool. I can't really give it 5 stars because of the three issues above.

Well constructed. Owners manual was comprehensive and informative. I turned the unit on and it was relatively quiet and vibration free. Priced right. I see no need to purchase the one with the light.

A great scroll saw for the money. It runs quietly and I like the variable speed. It blows dust off the cutting area and tilts for angled cuts. Blade changes -- pinned and unpinned -- are fast and easy. It you can see it, you can saw it! And it cuts up to 2" wood.

So far, with a little over an hour of use, I'm very satisfied. I ordered a pack of Olson Saw 42401 blades to go with it. After a little use, I decided to remove the side door, blade clamp knobs and material hold-down foot. Also put a piece of tape on the head of the table leveling bolt to decrease rattling. Applied wax to the table top. Will be looking for a suitable elbow for the vacuum port. No complaints about vibration or noise. The sawdust blower and speed control work well.Would recommend. Reliability? Time will tell.

Size is perfect for the crafts I create. Quite and easy set up. I highly recommend purchasing a foot pedal to go with it. Blade replacement is easy.

States you can use pin and pinless blades. That doesn't seem to be true. The holders do not hold pinless. If it's supposed to, mine is defective. I have tightened down as much as I can and the blade still just slides right out. Pinned blades work just fine.

Ok so I ordered this after looking at many, MANY reviews!Well it arrived and this was the 1st thing I noticed - see photo - it has a US electrical plug!!!WTF am I supposed to do with that in the UK?So it’s probably a great saw - again based on the reviews. But right now I can’t use it!Considering this is the UK Amazon website. I’d expect EVERYTHING on it to work in the UK. Unless the seller states VERY CLEARLY somewhere in the initial product description that it HAS A US PLUG ON IT, NOT A UK ONE!So I went back to the product listing on Amazon and searched high and low for any mention of the fact that this had a US plug on it, worked on the American system of 120v and would therefore NOT work in the UK. There was nothing! So I now had the headache of working out what rating of step-down converter I needed to buy - which obviously adds to the initial cost of the thing - so I can finally plug it in and see if all the reviews are telling the truth! After some initial research I worked out that I need a step-down converter that supported either 144w or 180w. Because depending where you look and which Watt calculations you use, I was getting 2 different answers!I found one with a product rating of 300w on Amazon and ordered it, at an additional cost of £36.At this point I contacted Wen themselves and I contacted the seller. I asked both if 300w would be sufficient to allow me to use the US 120v rated Wen on UK’s 230v electrical system.I received a reply from the seller fairly quickly, but only to say they had passed my query to the correct department. It took a further 2 days of messages going back and forth to finally get an answer. But the answer I eventually received frustrated me slightly. The answer said that “the product I had purchased would work, because I needed something to convert 120v to 230v!†That was stating the obvious and failed to even touch on the gist of my initial question, “would 300w be sufficient?â€.As luck would have it I bumped into an electrician that night and after feeding him all the Volt and Amp info I had. He confirmed 300w would be fine as the Wen only needed 144w or 180w (depending on which online specs you believed). So I plugged it in and it worked fine. I cut a few test patterns and the thing seemed pretty good. Though I wish access to the bottom blade connector was not hidden behind a side panel.A few days after testing it I received the following slightly shocking reply from WEN:Our products, either producing or consuming electricity are engineered for the North American market (120 Volts, 60 Hertz). We do not offer or have recommendations on conversion to other electrical standards. We do not ship out side of North America. We do not have retail sales partners outside of the United States. We do not work with freight forwarders or arrange shipments out side of our sales market. We respectfully decline to offer an advice at this time.WEN Products. So the seller is selling it to UK customers, but WEN do not recommend or sanction this in ANY way! That’s it! Not a brilliant purchasing experience, but I got there in the end.Oh I should mention . I suggested to the seller that they updated their listing with some clear indications that the Wen will not work in the UK without purchasing a step-down converter. I hope they do this to save others the same frustration I had and also maybe correct the specs to cover the wattage requirements. They were good enough to cover the £36 I spent on the converter though. So props to them for that.Update: Communication with the seller continues to be hit and miss and the product listing still does not detail that this product is for the US market.

Es muy buena para maderas no muy gruesas, es bueno darle una tensión adecuada a la navaja, ya que de no hacerlo se rompen y debes tener refacciones para seguir usándola
