French curves, by design, come in all shapes and sizes. This set has a great assortment from small tight curves, to large sweeping ones, and most pieces have interior cutouts with even more variety. The plastic is clear, which makes it easy to see what is under, and they have ink lips (there is a small recess along the edge so ink won't wick under and smear) - this is an essential feature if using with pens instead of pencils. Hopefully the quality hasn't deteriorated over the decades - I still have a Westcott drafting triangle from the late 80's.

These came packaged safely, in protective layers. In art painting, sometimes you want different shapes than you can draw yourself. On a new project, I did 1 or 2 with a whole stencil, & filled other space with just sections of the whole stencil. I got a 95% grade on the project I used them for which is a very pleasing added bonus! If you see wiggly places it's because I had a traumatic brain injury that makes my hands shake. Highly recommend!

This complete set of French Curves are perfect for todays professional or student use. They are sturdy yet more flexible than my older set from yesteryear. The beveled edge is a new design from the vintage flat edge that I'm familiar with- but I believe it will make it easier to hit your marks. I'm happy to add these to my collection and expect they will traded by my heirs for necessary survival staples.

Bought these for crafting: I mostly do paper and fabric work, but just bought a scroll saw. They seem to be made of a pretty fragile plastic - I wouldn't want to drop them too often - but for the price, I wouldn't expect more. They don't take up a lot of room, because they are so thin. They are thick enough to work fine, though - you won't have trouble tracing around them. Really young kids might break them, but 9 and up should be okay. I did not give 5 star because they aren't "professional grade," but I am really quite satisfied - I don't think you could find any better set for the price, maybe not even twice the price.

These just arrived today. I am very pleased with my purchase. These are not flimsy curves -- they are very sturdy. They're clear, so I'm able to see my lines and direction without lifting the curve and/or stop my line. They're going to be very helpful to me working on projects.

Low price and good assortment makes for a great set of simple "curves" for use in my wood shop. So helpful in getting just the right arc or curve when designing router templates or making one up designs. Not so pricey that I have to worry about nicking edges or getting over-spray or other substances on them. Just an all around useful set.

these are thinner than westalee, but work fine with the westalee foot, & much cheaper. I use both for quilting, I just adjust the foot height. will buy this brand but they do not have guide lines.

You get several different types of drawing curves with this package which is great, but unfortunately the lack of measurement Marks on these rulers makes it difficult to draw the same curve line more than once.
