Thanks, Westinghouse. The globes are high quality and you even included LED bulbs! This easy-to-install lighting kit has made a major difference in our formerly dark bedroom. It came nicely packaged with clear instructions. I only needed a step ladder, Phillips head screwdriver and a wire cutter/stripper to cut the supplied wires to the same length as the ones in the ceiling fan. Then, after stripping them, I used the supplied wire nuts to complete the splice. I'd rate the installation as easy-to-moderate, depending on how adept you are with this sort of thing. It took less than an hour and now that I've done one (never did one before), the next one should only take about 30 minutes.

Was looking for replacing our bowl ceiling light fan with a brighter alternative. The fans are about 13 years old, great condition, and was not looking to replace the whole thing to get more lights (read lumens) in our finished room over the garage. This was the cheapest I could find without it just making more sense to do just that. So far, could not be happier. We already had the cap on the fan which allows this to mount directly with no modification. I've done some homeowner electrical but this was by far the easiest as long as your fan has the light wires already there. It may be a "cheap" but you can't tell once it is on the fan. Definitely worth the money.

I had a few fans with no lights, and got a couple of these to add on. It was surprisingly simple to install, even though the fans were a different brand (Hampton bay). The color matches up pretty decently, and the glass light covers are a nice touch. Overall I am pretty happy with this.There are three drawbacks. One, I had to strip the wires and use a wire nut to connect one of these kits; these wires are either steel or aluminum, not copper, and it was difficult to strip the wires without damaging the strands. The second time around I managed to get the built-in connectors to attach, so this might be a non-issue in most cases.Second drawback is the hilariously bad pull string that comes with this. It is basically a flimsy, thin piece of yarn; you will want to pick up a pull chain for sure; for a $40+ product they should have tossed in a chain.Last issue, one of my kits shipped with a broken light cover, and working with the vendor to get it replaced is pretty slow. I sent all my info over and have yet to get info on how/when it can be replaced. I would check all your parts before you start the install, and just return and replace it if something is broken.

No where does the manufacturer clearly answer the question asked by several people: What size is the light kit where it attaches to the fan? They repeatedly answer with, "This light kit does not attach directly to the bottom opening of a fan. In order to able to install this light kit on a fan, the ceiling fan would need to have switch housing cap as this light kit attaches directly to the switch housing cap that comes with the fan. " ALLOW ME TO BE CLEAR: It is about 2 3/4". It doesn't even say that in the Instruction Manual PDF which I read before purchasing.My switch housing cover is 3 3/4" so it did not fit. Also, my switch housing cover has 3 screws, the light kit has 2 so it would not line up even if it had fit. The kit does include an outer threaded tube, but my fan does not have that (and the wires come down the center hole of the fan.)I have a feeling this would have been a great light kit if it had fit. Unfortunately, the manufacturer was asked multiple times for the size of the kit connection to the fan/switch housing and never gave an answer. Returned.

The fans in my new place are new. However, the landlord did not install new fans WITH lights. I have next to no electrical experience, so I was expecting to have to turn of the breaker, strip wires, connect them and hope I did everything right...Well, turns out the fan had built in connectors for lights. This kit also comes with the proper connectors to attach to the fan's wiring. The power did not have to be turned off, though I did hit the switch to be safe. And about ten minutes later the lights were fully installed and lighting up the room.

My husband was able to install this light kit. He was frustrated with the wiring of the house(there is a light switch for everything in this house). But he was able to get this installed and working in an afternoon. It looks great and works amazing. We actually bought two more after the initial purchase because we have three fans in the house that don't have any lights attached to them. We have Hunter fans.

I ordered one it got here quick and worked great, came with light bulbs which was a plus. Only problem was two of the tree glass sconces were broken. When I order a replacement one of the three were broken in that box. With the two I formed a full set. Works with dimmable bulbs and a dimmer switch. 3 stars because of the broken glass in two boxes.

Iitem does have dual switches so fan will not work.
