1.Please note that when the rim of a wheel without deflection is turned, it does not contact the spring-loaded thimble and the center axis of rotation is always perpendicular to the horizontal line.
2.This product is not suitable for use with straight-through axles. When adjusting the hub, please remove the bicycle tire and adjust the base screw through the width at the bottom to a suitable position.

This is better than I thought it might be. It was delivered and assembled quickly and the put to use right away. With basic YouTube knowledge of how to “tune†spokes, I was able to do both misbehaving Shimano WH-R500 rims in less than 20 minutes. Their fault, both would hit the brake pads randomly as the wheel turned - very annoying! The tool was easy to set up and easy to figure out how to use. The directions were a bit suspect as the pics weren’t big enough to clearly see how to orient the sensors but given they could be installed either one way or the other, the process of elimination was fast. I’m now a proud owner of a what is to me the perfect tool at a budget price that meets my wheel truing needs!

For what I paided for this it was a good deal. It’s probably not what a bike shop would want; but I tuned up three bikes today for my family and it did a great job.

This is a good economical truing stand for enthusiast use that like to do their own wheel building.Really anymore small bike shops and mechanics are hard to find so it’s easier to DIY.

The unit worked well but I had to re-thread for the locking bolt on one of the guide "needles"
