This is the 3rd try I've made for a gold link belt. The pros on this one are that it's simple: It's gold, no one's initials are emblazoned on it, and it goes through most belt loop sizes. Also, the ball medallion at the end is a bit weighted to give it a good drape when it's looped. The cons are that beside the ball medallion on the end, it is extremely lightweight. I'm a bit doubtful as to how long it will last, but it is a decorative item. I am combining it with a navy blue reptile belt to give some dimension. So, it'll be worn loose and shouldn't encounter too much tension. However, this belt has not prompted me to stop my search for a real metal, heavy, gold chain link belt. I have one from the 1970s but it has large links. I'm hoping to find another of the same heavy quality with smaller links.

I got the biggest size so the chain would hang lower (6 feet tall, size 22 dress) and it was amazing. It is sturdy and held up the entire weekend / renaissance festival that I used it (10+ hours per day). I'll use it for more costumes for sure

This belt is cute but but well made. The links break easily. I like that it is so versatile and very fashionable, but you have to be very careful when wearing it, as it just comes apart and if you're not paying attention you don't even notice right away. I'm still using it because it is cute, but only if I'm willing to keep a close eye on it while I am wearing it so I can catch when it breaks and not lose random pieces on the floor somewhere.
