I didn't realize the Greasy filters needed to be replaced periodically. After replacing the filters, he suction of the Range Hood is still not satisfactory and I can't tell if its due to the filter or not. After replacing it, I have not noticed any difference in Range Hood Performance either. I just visited a previously "new home" that's about 9 years old and the owner apparently never once replaced the Hood filter - and it still works - so i can't even tell if its worth it to replace the filter...I'll give the product a 4 star, but due to the lack of perceived difference I can only trust that it will prolong the life of the Range Fan...

Very very easy to install, although I would imagine it may vary depending your oven hood.Once installing the new filters, I can say that we tested making pop corn in a pot with oil. Usually, the whole house smells like pop corn after, but with new filters, I couldn't smell pop corn 6 fix away from the stove top.Definitely worth it but be aware that your milage may vary depending on your cooking frequency, what you cook, etc. Don't expect the filters to last you years. Think about how HVAC need new filters every three months... Similarly, you might need new filters every three, six months, etc.

These filters are designed for KitchenAid range hoods. My model # is KVUB600DSS. Easy to remove & replace with the new filters. Not sure when previous owner replaced them, but the old filters were greasy & brown in spots. Ideally should be replaced every 6 months depending on how you cook. I don’t do a lot of frying so it may be a longer time before I replace them.

I took a chance on this filter for my Samsung hood since the Samsung ones are out of stock everywhere and have been for some time. This product is an EXACT fit for the Samsung hood too. Exactly the same part as far as I can tell. Cheaper than the Samsung ones too.

I couldn't understand why my kitchen was getting greasy every time I turned on the frying pan. I'm a meticulously clean chef, but the kitchen air was smoggy, and the vent seemed not to be working. After awhile my kitchen cabinets started to get tacky. Last week I checked the exhaust, and sure enough, the filter covers were super sticky and greasy, and the filters were disgusting. Who knew?!? I did a little research and learned that the Whirlpool filters I had are identical to these Kitchenaid replacements. The arrived quickly and were easy to install. The kitchen is much cleaner now when I turn on the exhaust. Lesson learned is that the filters need to be replaced or at least inspected once a year to avoid potentially dangerous situations in the kitchen.

WPW10531089 Whirlpool Extractor motor part number. Had to replace unit at great cost as bearings were making noise after 5 years. Inside of unit was coated in grease from regular cooking. Vents to the outside. With the addition of these filters the grease intake into the unit is greatly reduced. Hoping this will help the unit to last longer. Easy to install and remove. First photo is unit without filter and second shows unit with filter installed trapping grease etc prior to entering fan motor unit. Happy with the addition of the filters.
