I was looking for a replacement for the Glencairn glasses I bought that developed hairline cracks and sadly had to be discarded. These Lamarada glasses at first glance look very similar to the Glencairn, for a lot less money ($19.99 at time of purchase). They are only slightly larger, the glass seems thicker, and the only other style difference I notice is the more fluted mouth, where the Glencairn is more straight, these glasses flare out slightly. The price for a set of 6 was less than a set of 4 Glencairn glasses. The card that comes with the glasses states "Lamarada takes pride in supporting orphans & children from dysfunctional or abusive homes... with full responsibility for each child's' welfare... As of 2004 two campuses housed & educated over 20,000 children."

I’m my opinion comparable to the classic glen cairn. It has a wider mouth, allowing for better nosing of bourbons.Doesn’t feel as fragile as the glen cairns as well. Both awesome glasses but I gravitate to this one the most.
