I use this tape to mark out the stitch count on a piece of needlepoint canvas. I chose it because it will leave no sticky residue after removal. The downside is that the adhesion is a little weak. that's good for paper, but not as good on a piece of canvas that will be handled regularly for many months. That being said, i don't know of a better product for this purpose and I'll gladly continue using this.

So far so good. Was able to apply it to art using gloves. Not too sticky, but secure. Can't speak to it's longevity. Worked great to make hinge joints on my frame and matte backboard

It’s fine tape but it still tore up a layer on the edge of the paper for my painting (thick water color paper). Luckily I had room to just cut off the edges with the tape on them so it still had a clean look on the outside

The only thing that I’ve noticed is the tape is thinner than other art tape. The good news is that you can see through it enough to line it up with the edge of your paper. It seems to provide a good barrier for watercolor, gouache and pastels. It doesn’t leave any residue and peels off without tearing the paper. What more can you ask for.

Love the size of this for clean edges on my smaller watercolor paintings. Does not lift off until you’re ready to take it off.

Tape is too thin, doesn’t stand up to more than 1 wash

I never use any other tape for my watercolor painting. It seals tightly to the paper eliminating any leaks. It is easy to remove without damaging the paper. The painting should be completely dry to make removal the easiest. I keep a couple of different widths for different uses.

The description says that the tape is good for masking watercolor paper, but as many/most of the bad reviews will attest, this tape is terrible for masking watercolor paper. I used it to create borders on a piece, and when I removed the tape, it ripped a layer of the paper off, no matter how carefully and slowly I peeled it. I spent a long time working on the painting only to have it completely ruined by the tape.

Good dimension, easy stick, gives clean paint edges, but lifted watercolour paper upon removal. Suggest removing some glue by sticking to clean fabric before using - a step I was looking to eliminate.

Used to tape edges of watercolour to art board. Left it on for 24 hrs to let my art dry. Ripped the paper up upon removal. Tried twice with another paper. (Winsor Newton) same fault. Previously used cheap masking tape which never ripped the paper or bled water through. Back to the good old cheap stuff that works.
