Voltage in to ground. No voltage out. 36v melex 1973. Currently at 30 volts.Update. Made it 18 volts instead of 12. And coil made a nice clunk and contactor worked. Got resistor from another company to protect.

Tried the cheaper Chinese solenoid and it smelled like hot electrical and was too hot to touch. Bought this one at little higher price but it works great and no hot smell. Well worth a little extra cost.
