Let me preface this by saying this is my first pair of riding pants. I've been riding for 35 years always in jeans the last 5 years touring on a Goldwing. I got curious to see how true riding pants differed from jeans. I live in Southern Arizona so I wanted something that wouldn't be too hot. So I started looking. When I came across these pants I thought they must be cheap knockoffs but I read some of the reviews and was really surprised how much people seemed to like these pants. I decided I would give them a chance so I measured my belly and my inseam 41x31 😳. I normally wear 34x31 jeans. I ordered 1XL short. They arrived within a few days! When I opened them up I was shocked at the quality of the construction. The stitching the materials this looks to me like solid protection. I excitedly tried them on and they do come up around your belly but super comfy. They do look kind of strange pulled up like that but once you put a jacket on it's unnoticeable. The length was long without boots on they almost touched the ground in bare feet. They are heavy so they tended to slide down while walking around barefoot but they have what looks like about 2-3 inches of adjustment on each side so I could make it tighter but seems like it would lose some of the comfort especially when I sit down. I put on my boots and jacket and they are the perfect length especially sitting on the bike. I also was able to zip them into my Fulmer motorcycle jacket which eliminated the slide down while walking around. As for appearance, they are quite stylish in my opinion with the jacket and boots on. From a distance mine look black and white. Close up you can see the white is more of a grey. I did take them for a couple of 300 and 400 mile rides in 68-88 degree temperatures. I can say they are more comfortable than jeans. They aren't tight in the knees or hips like jeans are and they do let in quite a bit of air. I'm anxious to try them here in Arizona when the temperatures get over 100 degrees. At 68 degrees they were a little bit cool so I think what I'll do is either try long John's or sweats underneath in cooler than 65 degree temperatures. I did notice as other reviewers mentioned that at times the knee armor tends to be more on the inside of my knee than the outside while riding. I think I can correct that by trying to maneuver them around before I take off. Overall I am very pleased with these pants so much so that I left this long review. I don't usually leave reviews unless I either feel ripped off or that I got more than my moneys worth and in this case it's definitely the later.

A summer or warm weather pant. While CE rated I can not vouch for the protection aspect but they have proper riding pant attributes as far as adjusters, fasteners, and durability. I would add that not only are they a comfortable riding pant, I wish all my pants were sized and fitted like these. they have a higher waist and the tightening straps on the size make for a perfect and infinite adjustable, rather than spot adjust like a belt, fit. I lost my athletic trim lately due to health issue and bloating and pants just do not like me anymore but these work great. I recommend upsizing significantly unless you are quite slender and then just tightening them up. They do not flap in the wind or feel at all like excess material but also never feel tight and constrictive. I am thrilled with them and glad I chose them over the matching and very expensive Scorpion Yosemite pants. My Yosemite jacket is a bit restricting and feels like it is wrestling me. I avoided their pants due to that fact and there high cost and went for these. Would recommend most certainly and at the price no complaints.

I've got 13 hundred dollars in 3 other motorcycle pants that don't fit as well as these did. So that was awesome! (one pair fits great but are too short, the other pair is too long and too high in the waist, the other pair only fits if I take out the inner liners and then they were still slightly short that I never rode in. I mean to send that pair back...) Also they have front pockets of which most of my other motorcycle pants don't. I really liked that!I have to say they aren't really any cooler then my other non mesh pants UNLESS you are standing on the pegs when riding off road. At that point you do feel the breeze through the front of the pants. Which is good, a lot of times your riding slower and more tech stuff while standing/riding dual sport off road and sometimes it can get really hot because your not moving as fast. But I was hoping they would be cooler just normally riding around. I think it's because the largest vented part of the pant is the upper thigh, and for me on my bike that is pretty flat while riding normally/sitting = so didn't really feel any increase in air flow? They are not as "tough" feeling or as thick as my other pants. (of which one pair was over 10 times the cost so your getting what you pay for) So even though I really liked the way they breathed better when I'm standing "off road" I don't think I will use them as primary "adventure riding" kind of pants because I don't think they will survive "as well" as my other pants off road taking spills now and then. But instead I will use them as just general quick trip/around town/commuting kind of pants and when I at least don't plan on doing much off road. (I wear shorts like 99.9999999% of my life. But I do try to wear moto pants most of the time on bike as I don't want road rash!) Again, the fit is REALLY good. So of all my pants I pick these for having to walk into a store or something quick where I don't want to take the time to remove all my gear and lock it up on the bike. ALSO, did I mention they have front pockets... :)

I ordered a 34W32L pant (my exact pant size) and they fit perfectly. I am 5'10" tall and weigh 165 lbs. This pant fits well and also very comfortable while sitting on the motorcycle. Perfect summer riding pant. I live in Northern California and this pant is perfect for round the year riding. I may order another one soon. Great quality - materials and stitching and bonus is this comes with side cargo pockets, besides two front zipped pockets. Love it.
