We got this as a costume for Halloween, but my son has been wearing it daily for a week now. It is excellent quality, with actual patches and stitching (and pockets for the animal discs). However, I do think it runs a little small. My kid is 6 years old and about 50lbs, and it fits perfectly - I feel like it may not fit a bigger 8 year old. The gloves were stiff when he first put them on, but they are really thick and FEEL like "power gloves" - I used another reviewer's suggestion to stick a rod/stick in each finger to open up the space a bit before wear, and that worked excellently. But after doing that my son had no issues with the fingers. We will likely buy the green costume next, because we liked this one so much.

The vest is great! Nicely made, good Velcro. Love the pocket for the creature disc. Not as happy with the gloves. Poorly designed for a child. Fingers are too long and narrow. The lining is poorly done and no way to fix it. Should have been made of different material. Impossible to pick up discs in gloves.

This is not a fancy product, as far as costumes go, but my five year old son loves it. It's a vest and two gloves, with pockets on the glove and vest for creature power discs. It came with three discs, and you can buy more if interested. After watching my son play with it, I'm noticing the simplicity forces him to use his imagination. He puts a creature disc in the front pocket, and then pretends to be that animal. On the TV show, the characters actually transform into the animal, so I wasn't sure how this suit would go over, but it's been great.As far as size goes, the description says ages 6-8, and it is a little too big on my average sized five year old boy, so I would say that description is accurate. I was nervous to get the size down, but that probably would have fit better.

My 10 year old loves Wild Kratts and loves this set. I am leaving a review in case others with older kids want to see about sizing. My son is thin, but wears between a 10/12 and the (Large 6-8X) fits him. He's so happy so we are grateful. It has velcro so we can fit it over his head and on his body.

Ok, this is really a 2 star design, with a 5 star fun factor that evens things out to 3 stars overall.The vest - this is the best part of the whole thing. The front is well made. The colored parts are actually different color fabric stitched together. The clear plastic for the creature power is crystal clear. Having Velcro on the side and on the same sides shoulder strap is ingenious so you don’t have to try to fit the vest over a head. Now to some of the down sides - it is thick material that seems to not breathe great, and the back of the vest has rubber patches instead of the nice colored fabric on the front. It is also quite small. I do not see this fitting an 8 year old as it barely fits a 6 year old.The gloves - pretty useless. The fingers are really long, and hands don’t fit in them well. In fact, I had to use a chopstick to open the pinky finger in one glove. It was stitched shut. Fingers maybe go half way. They actually look pretty neat, but because the fingers are sooooooo long - they’re pretty pointless. My son wears one of the gloves and doesn’t wear the other because he can’t use his hands if he wears both. It’s pretty disappointing, so I might as well not have them.This looks fun, so it is. Make no mistake, this isn’t a well made set, but it also isn’t horrible. This is fun for kids to play with and pretend to use creature powers. It is kind of a must have for Wild Kratts fans like our kiddos, and while I have some problems with it, I am glad we bought it.

I purchased the size 6-8 vest and gloves in lieu of the body suit because my son is very tall for his age! Hes' 5 1/2, 55 pounds and almost 4 foot tall! It's a thick, durable material. It velcros on the top left shoulder and down the left side, making it easy to take on and off! Very impressed with this product. We got lots of extra discs to interchange! He loves it!I would like to note, it's style is made very similar to his daddy's bulletproof vest, and my son thought that was pretty cool! We'll be getting Chris, the green guy, once it's available in the 6-8.

My daughter loves her Martin Kratt power suit costume!! My only beef was the power disc pocket on the glove had the opening on the finger end and not the wrist end so the power disc would slide out if the glove was extended like a punch or hand thrust. Other than that, I wish we had this stuff when I was a kid!!!

I was initially hesitant based on price, but has been worth every cent - the kids are obsessed with Wild Kratts and they love re-enacting the powers. Bought for large 6yo at 4ft tall 65lbs and fits well, likely won't make it too far past 8years. velcro on one shoulder and same side chest wall allows for adjusting fit but is difficult for the kids to take on/off on own, gloves are a one size hope they fit type thing, fingers seem really skinny and long but kids haven't complained too much, pockets for creature power discs don't always keep the discs in but again, kids haven't complained much - they tend to keep the discs in the chest pocket instead of glove. overall worth the purchase and has held up to indoor and outdoor adventures.
