I love that they sound as good to me as big name brands. It took several days for delivery which seems like several weeks when you're waiting for guitar parts. It was worth the wait. I was rebuilding a guitar for a friend who told me it was a fender telecaster. When I found out it was a squire, I was reluctant to spend $ for fender pickups. So I bought the Wilkinson at a fraction of the fender price. They're every bit as good for overdriven tones if not better. Maybe not quite as good for clean tones. But very close .I will buy them again.

I love this company, I get great parts for not a lot of money, this pickup sounds great!

Much better than the stock Squire pickups, wax potted but still a little microphonic. I would buy again if I need to replace budget telecaster pickups.

In case anyone is wondering, I am specifically reviewing the Wilkinson Alnico 5 Tele Neck pickup. I am specifying this because it seems they often bunch in all the product reviews together and you do not know exactly of what you are reading. Someone wrote a negative review, but it is clearly for a Tele Bridge pickup and the model has not been specified. If Musiclily is able to, they really need to separate out these reviews to alleviate any confusion. Now regarding this pickup: I'm not going to say it performs as well as Fender Custom Shop or any of the boutique brands, but you are getting far more than you are paying for here. Perhaps I did a stellar job with the installation of the electronics in my kit Tele, but this pickup is super quiet (noise free, it is "loud" where it counts) even with the gain cranked up - very little AC hum! As I said, it may be that I did a super job with the shielding and grounding, but I could not be happier with how it sounds.

Pro: New strings haven't even settled in and I can already tell I like these pickups. Clear and classic tele twang. I put them in in place of fender vintage 52's (considerably more expensive) as I was planning on selling the guitar, but now I'm not sure I will.Cons: The provided screws, the ones of course threaded for the holes of the bridge pickup, are too big to go through the bridge plate. It only took a few minutes to get the drill and right bit and widen the holes but still, "fits most" I'm sure is applicable to routing/cavities but is otherwise a bit misleading as I'd guess the fender mex standard (1991 - 2018) is one of the most ubiquitous teles on the planet. Mine is a 2013.Additionally, the bridge screws just going into the base of the bridge pickup are probably the tightest threading I've ever encountered.Neutral: The bridge pickup doesn't fit neatly in the plate, it is tight and leaves a sizable gap on the bass side. Getting the screws seated requires more finesse and force than you'd expect. I don't notice the gap unless looking for it once put back together and the strings still sit mostly center over the pole pieces but FYI.Bottom line, now knowing what to expect, if I had another player grade tele in need of cheap, good sounding pickups, I'd buy these again.

The packaging was really nice, more than I expected: bubble wrap, nice box, plenty of lead wire (already tinned), new springs and screws - all around a good buy! I used them in a Tele copy, replacing the meh pickups. Nice sound, definitely classic Tele. Much better than the original ones that came with the guitar and so close to the original Tele sound.

I used these in a tele that I built and I have to say, they sound pretty darn great. I’ve used other Alnico 5’s at around the same price range and these are undoubtedly the best.

I put these in a homemade tele I built this summer. Great sound, just what I was looking for. Can't beat that price either

I needed a new neck pickup for my telecaster. this Wilkinson WOV is excellent with a warm and clear sound. Added bonus is that it's cheap compared to other much more expensive ones that don't sound any better.
