This replacement lens foot by Wimberley is exactly what I wanted and has met my expectations. The built quality is excellent and should outlast the lens that it is attached to. It easily mounts to my gimbal and also is useful as a carrying handle for the lens and camera when not mounted to a tripod. I recommend it.

When you pay for first quality, you only cry once! 😊 While this foot costs more than the cheap made in China brands, the quality is amazing.

This is a very sold, well made ARCA Swiss compatible replacement lens foot for the Sony 200-600mm. It is not inexpensive but it feels like you are getting a very sturdy component. It just worked on my tripods and I feel completely at east carrying my lens and camera body by the foot. The only negative is that because you use a set screw it is not quick to remove without the correct tool.

I prefer this version to the RRS and kirk versions because I want to leave it on the camera (their versions are designed to be removed as needed, this you mount once and leave on the lens). It mounts with a nice fat threaded screw (allen key included) and has a set screw with a rubber tip (allen also included). They've also included "keeper" tiny grub screws for the ends of the plate so it can't slide out of a partially open clamp (and the needed allen!). The ONE detail they forgot? Both the OEM sony version and both kirk and RRS versions have a bar at the camera end of the foot for a strap attachment. Yes the lens has 2 as well but if you use those the strap wears on the body much more than if it's attched to the foot. It's not a deal breaker but the pictures don't show that part of the foot so you can't know ahead of time. I use my strap on peak design's fancy little connectors and I use one under the camera body and one on the left hand lens lug. It works OK but I preferred it on the end of the foot with the sony version. That said I much prefer the stronger more streamlined version of the foot with the acra dove tails machined in. The sony foot with a plate just wasn't a nice looking option. Very glad to have this, just wish it had an option for a strap mount. The longer length is very comfortable for hand holding.

Fits perfectly, no wobble at all. With COG in right place, the lens now stands steadily with or without camera body.Weighs even less than the factory SONY foot and 7 mm dove tail plate combo.

Wimberley makes the highest quality tripod accessories like Arca Swiss tripod foot, clamps, etc.They also make the best gimbal for telephoto lenses. They have been in business for years and are an American manufacturer.I purchased a high quality Arca Swiss clamp for my Arca Swiss ball head from them 10 years ago and have been very impressed with it.I was surprised that a replacement Arca Swiss compatible foot for my Sony 200-600 lens from Wimberley was available on Amazon. It was an immediate buy.This is a great purchase at a great price for a quality American made product. What’s surprising is that the price is competitive with similar products from overseas. Highly recommended!

This tripod foot is exactly what I needed. My Sony zoom lens is the most expensive item in my photography kit. So, I want to ensure it is mounted securely. This foot does just that. Its simple design makes installation easy. It is well made and mounts to my ARCA Swiss tripod head quickly.

Well, the foot looks nice, but there is a problem with it, the threads are made without metal inserts.If you planning to use it often (I'm using it 2-3 times a week) with a monopod then the 1/4" metal screw will strip it quickly...It is not a good product. If it is a $10 thing then it is OK. I'll replace it every year, but it is not...

This foot is simply perfect. Extremely well designed and, since it's screwed in place, feels much more solid than the original foot. The length is simply perfect and, make it possible to balance the lens on a low profile gimbal head.You gain a much better foot at the very small price of not being able to quickly remove it. This is totally worth it for me.

Der AP-620 Objektivfuß wurde ohne zusätzliche Gebühren aus UK versendet und kam sogar einen Tag eher an als geplant. Der Fuß sitzt bombenfest an meinem Sony 200-600mm und die Verarbeitungsqualität ist auch top.
