I bought this for an unconventional use, not for food. I was looking for a portable wash basin for camping, general use like shaving, stuff like that. The hard part was finding something durable enough for the rigors of camping, deep enough yet not too big for desired purposes. If I had to choose durability over foldability, I choose durability all day long. The fact that it's made of stainless steel is a big bonus.I know this isn't typically what this is used for (restaurant/buffets) but as it turns out, it fits the bill perfectly for my needs.

I purchased this not for food, but rather I wanted stainless steel for soaking CPAP hoses, because using plastic containers was simply not a good idea, plastic harbors bacteria which I certainly did not want for my breathing equipment.There is a reason that hospital trays and such are made with stainless steel.This is perfect and I also purchased a larger version for the longer 6 ft CPAP hose. But for daily use this is perfect for soaking my shorter hose, mask and humidifier chamber. Cleans and dries very easily.

The pan does its job but the very edge is a bit....sharper(?) in that if you slide your finger across it too hard, you might get a slight cut. Certainly not a papercut - it's not that bad unless you really press and slide your fingers across it. If the could either curl the edges in or make them less sharp, that would be nice. Otherwise, it does its job.

These durable ice bins have been wonderful to save up extra ice to keep on hand. I liked the first one so well that I ordered a second one.

Will seal with foil nicely. Not super thick. I have some that are thicker but this weight is perfectly fine and it's also appropriate for this size pan. About size of an oversized bread or loaf pan, a bit bigger and deeper. I use a lot of these pans and they are highly useful. Stacks well with same size pan. This is perfect for a small roast or making dinner for small family. Color changed a bit from dishwasher but that doesn't matter to me. I'm happy with it, especially for this excellent Add-On price.

NSF certified so that’s good. However the metal is thin and if you buy multiples and stack them they are nearly impossible to get apart. Not useless but I’m sure there are better options if you’re using these for food service.
