Got this to use for boiling down maple syrup in a barrel and it worked great!! Was afraid it may be to thin for the heat I needed to put to it but it has held up great!!! Going on second year now for boiling maple syrup.

I bought this to use as a litter box for my cats. It’s wonderful and stays clean and over a year later there is absolutely no smell and no scratches. I did put it down inside a larger plastic tote, but it works just fine.

Using pans to evaporate maple syrup. Purchased 2 pans last year 2022 and worked wonderfully! They are a little thin but work well for what I’m using them for. Purchased another pan this year to make evaporator larger to help with added trees/sap this year. Wish I purchased pans a little deeper because they will boil over if not watched closely. Able to pour 10 gallons in the 3 pans easily to start the evaporation process.

These pans are deep and wide, which gives them the perfect dimensions for my back woods maple oven. They are sturdy so you can put the lip of the pans on the concrete and it holds with a full pan of sap with no worries of it giving under the high heat of the fire below. I mean I got well over 600 degrees and these pans didn't even flinch, nor did the sap burn. I got a better boil from these pans and they were a more efficient then using a stock pot because of the surface area. I used less wood and got a higher temperature boil. And the clean up? Super easy and fast. Stainless is the way to go, just put the money into this investment, you will have it for years to come. It's WELL worth the price.

I ordered two of these full size, 6-inch deep pans. They were delivered in an undamaged box within two days of ordering them. But they were jammed together so tightly it took a lot of time and effort to pry them apart without damaging them. Good news: the metal is thin enough that once they were separated, we were able to straighten the rims back to normal. A thin sheet of plastic wrap had been place between the pans, to no good purpose. We didn't dare heat the bottom pan to expand it because the plastic might have melted and been impossible to remove. If brown wrapping paper had been used between the pans, I don't think the pans would have stuck together so tightly. Ironically, the pans had been packed in the box with brown paper for protection during shipping. The pan which had been stuck on the inside had no damage. But the outside pan had 4 large dents in the corners plus one tiny dent on the bottom that I am most worried about. You see, in about a week we will be boiling maple sap in it over a very hot fire to make syrup, and I am concerned that this tiny dent, being so deep, is going to become a hole and the pan will become unusable.I am including pics of the two worst dents, plus the tiny, sharp dent from both the outside and the inside. When these pans have been put to use, I will come back and rate them again. Crossing my fingers.Edit: Our second maple syrup season is coming to an end, and these pans have held up. One has developed a 2-inch long deformation on one of the long side rims, but it doesn't impact stability. Upgrading from 3 to 4 stars.

This item would be great as a steam tray in a cafeteria. But, its even better as a cat litter box.It doesn't absorb odors. It's easy to clean. The 6" sides keep most of the litter in the pan. It's unscratchable.By the time I replace a plastic litter pan four times this stainless steel pan has paid for itself.

I know it’s food grade or whatever but I’m not gonna lie, I’m using it for something else. I’ve had it for a few months and it happened to be the only one that worked for my perforated pan that I ordered for my cats to use as a sifter+litterbox . I had ordered multiple stainless steel litter boxes and couldn’t find one with the right dimensions for it so I had to go with this steam pan. I do wish it was 8 inches tall but the 6inch works just as well. Can’t complain too much when it’s helped a lot. It’s easy to clean and not as heavy as you’d expect.

It seems decent, but it's very thin steel, a lot thinner than a typical stainless tray or pot. Dents easily. Otherwise not bad.

This is a nice sized solid pan. Super easy to clean. It stays looking brand new and doesn't scratch easily.

I have used it for 2 seasons now (cooking maple syrup). Its fairly easy to clean, one trick is to heat it up and stuff is easy to clean when warm. The material has held up and I'm confident it will do many more seasons. I was very happy with the purchase.

So I'm using this as a litter box for my cats (3). It's made well and luckily for me out of the 4 I've purchased none of them had any damage (i.e. dents, etc). I definitely recommend this as a litter box! There's literally no smell (unlike with regular/plastic litter boxes which hold the smells), it's easy to clean, my cats like it and I've found (at least with the litter I use) the litter does not stick to the container. I found that it's deep enough to use as well, but if your cat kicks their litter a lot some might go out. I have one cat that does that, but honestly there's barely any litter that gets out. If you're worried about it getting damaged if you cat likes to scratch or dig in their litter, I wouldn't worry. It's a solid build and if you put a good amount of litter I've found they don't scratch the bottom.

The steamer pan arrived in good condition and has worked well for the intended purpose (boiling small batches of maple sap). The pan is correctly advertised as 25 gauge steel, meaning much thinner than "professional grade" 22 gauge pans and would be easy to dent, but again for my purpose this represents decent quality at a decent price.

This product has worked well for me. I’m using them for warming pans on maple syrup evaporator. They are thin so use caution if your putting flame onto them
