I bought one to unobtrusively store my favorite utensils and tasting spoons next to the stove. Does the job; sturdy and inexpensive. So I decided to buy a 2nd one for putting scraps in as I cook, either to throw out or put in the freezer for stock. I just nest it under the other bain Marie, no need to take up any storage space. Love them!

This product works great for blending small quantities with an immersion blender. It's also good for straining small quantities -- a conical 5 inch diam strainer fits perfectly over the top. And when you need to remove the rim from a tart shell or removable bottom cheese cake pan, just flip the pot upside down -- the smooth flat lip makes for good stability. And oh yeah, it can also hold utensils.

Bought this originally for yogurt making. It left a metal taste on my yogurt the first two times despite washing and soaping well. I use it to hold my utensils now, sometimes I use it for warming up frozen food by submerging it in hot water. For the price, I’m satisfied

I saw/heard a Chef on TV say . . . you don't want to keep spilling peelings and other things reaching from the prep area to the kitchen trash can. Get a small one of these, put all the peelings right there where you are working, then later dump the whole thing into the trash can.This is a bit smaller (but then I have almost NO counter space in the apartment, so it's perfect for me.)

there's a small chip in the finish, if not for that it would be 5 stars. great size, stainless steel, easy to wash. will probably get more for latter larp mugs
