I bought this inexpensive hamburger turner at the recommendation of a major news provider and can confirm it is a bargain. This is made of very heavy gauge stainless steel that can stand up to any flipping or scraping job without any flexing. The edges are beveled thin allowing for easy pickup of even adherent meats from the grates. At first, I thought the handle might be a little short, but after using it several times, I like the control and leverage that the shorter handle provides and it's plenty long enough to avoid the hot grill. It washes up easily, although with the wooden handle, I avoid putting it in the dishwasher. I think this is my favorite grilling accessory.

For the price, this is a really nice turner. It is the perfect size for smaller frying pans, or for more delicate cooks. Have used this on an outdoor griddle, grill, and inside on frying pans. It is nice and sturdy, and strong enough to cut through thicker foods.

I ordered this hamburger turner because I was tired of using crappy plastic spatulas that couldn't take the pressure or using my 10 inch foodservice pancake flipper that just wasn't cut out for what I wanted to do - smash burger patties. Unlike a lot of people who enjoy their burgers thick, I like mine thin. If I want a thick hamburger I just stack two or three patties on the bun and can adjust it on the fly. A thick burger patty just doesn't cook the same as a thin one. I measure out about 2.5 - 3 ounces of ground beef and hand roll as if I am making meatballs but not too tightly packed. While I'm prepping the meat I fire up the grill on high heat and get my griddle iron scorching hot. If I decide to do this indoors I use a 12 inch cast iron skillet on the stovetop. Once I set the balls of meaty goodness onto the hot surface I immediately smash them thin with my new Winco hamburger turner. It works so much better than the other tools I had previously used. It didn't bend at all and the beveled edges made scraping the patties off the grill very easy. It only takes about 60 seconds to get the patties right where I want them with nice crispy edges. Flip one patty over, add a slice of cheese - nothing melts like American cheese - then flip the other patty right on top. No need to let the patties linger on the grill any longer as they are perfectly done. Hot, juicy, tasty and perfect. Keep your thick hamburger patties. By the time they finish cooking I'll be tucking into my hot, fresh, meat masterpiece, juice running onto my hands and down my cheek. The Winco hamburger turner worked exactly as I had hoped and at a price that left plenty in the bank to splurge on plenty of good quality bacon to go on top of my burger. Now the only thing missing is a tall milkshake to go with my tasty burger!

it seems very sturdy and durable, I just wish it had more flex as the metal is very stiff.

This is second one. Bought the first one (left) 6 years ago. Used it daily and sent it to the dishwasher daily. The handle has cracked but still holds up to smashing burgers. Quality stainless steel.

Of a few I tried, this one was the least expensive and the most robust. The metal is thicker than other similar items. I feel guilty because I started a return (my wife wanted one the the lighter ones), but Amazon said no need to return, keep it. I use it a lot. Amazon has a great policy there.I do recommend this Winco flipper. It's heavy enough for an outside grill. It's what I'd expect to see in a restaurant kitchen.

the edges are sharp and the base is heavy, it's awesome. it doesn't fall onto the handle when you set it down and it's sturdy as hell. the metal is thick so when you flip a crabby patty the turner doesn't wilt in your hand. yup, get a few of these for your bbq.

You may only use it if you have a giant flat frying pan and cook like a professional teriyak chef in a restaurant. The size is too big and hard to fit in my usual frying pan. However, the quantity is consider good as it is quite heavy as well.

Came slightly damaged. I used my knife sharpener to home where the damaged sharp edges were. Other than that it's as expected. I was surprised to see a made in China stamp, must have escaped my notice when reading the description.
