This is the 3rd variation of privacy window films I have used on 2 different houses and it’s my favorite by far.I had previously used the film that looks like blinds which was great for a small basement window and did look pretty real, next I used a plain opaque film on my front door sidelight’s that worked for total privacy but the look cheapened the entry and blocked out too much natural light, I swapped that out for this vintage “cut glass†version and it is perfection. The windows now look pretty close to vintage originals for my 60’s built house, they let in natural light, brighten up the entry area and still provide great privacy. Even up close you can only seen outdoor color variations and blurry outlines, if you put your face directly up to it you can see objects through the little circles when it’s bright outside. If you are looking for total, 100% privacy this might not be for you. You can see inside through the little circles if you put your face directly up to the window when standing outside, but you really need to be a creep/weirdo to do that (unfortunately there are a lot of those nowadays). This isn’t an issue for us because our main living areas are not visible from the front door. The film will not throw off any color prisms or rainbows if that’s what you’re after. It’s clear with no color variation. It’s easy to install onto small windows (not sure about large), there’s a backing that needs to be removed and a smooth side and a textured side, apply the smooth side onto the window, the window should be wet before applying. You won’t see air bubbles when looking from the inside because of the pattern/texture but I do notice them a little when I look from outside, up close. You can work out the bubbles with a credit card, moving from the middle out to the edges.I appreciate the reviews/photos others left, it really helped me decide to go with this particular film overs the dozens and dozens available.

2023-01-30I've had this "static" window peel and stick installed for only a few days, so I'll update my review as time goes by but for now:Product: Smallest size, prismatic textured "diamond-esque" print.Pros:Incredibly simple to install. Literally, just clean the window, spray water, peel the backing, slide it into place, and squeegee.Looks gorgeous when the sun shines directly through it.Enough light passes through for my low-light plants. Can barely see anything through it even with your face up next to it.Easy to cut into very straight, specific size requirements, even without an exacto knife. The texture really adds a lot to it looking premium imoCons:Can be difficult to peel if you no longer have the included helper tape strips once you cut out that section of the roll.My 3 goals with this were:* Light pass-thru* Privacy* Easy apply for apt rentalI got all three of those. Since I ordered the small version, I had to get creative with cutting the strips in specific sizes to minimize wasted wrap. You'd be hard-pressed to even tell that the tall rectangular photo is two separate pieces of the wrap. Also, this pattern provides a nice reference guideline so that when you're cutting it, you can tell if you're cutting straight. After cleaning the window using a rubbing alcohol solution, I let it dry, sprayed it down with a fine mist of water, peeled the backing off the film, and then applied my precut square onto the glass. It sticks almost immediately but you have time to adjust if you're firm with sliding the film. There's enough stick that if you use one of those credit card squeegees, you can push the water out without sliding the film around.I've tried this on 3 windows sizes, tiny, medium, and large, and in all cases, it was quick to apply. For larger applications, you may have some difficulty removing the static-cling backing due to the static wanting the film to stick to itself. But once you get used to handling it, it's almost easy as applying a smaller pattern. In actuality, I want to say the larger one was even easier because once you get a quarter of it in the right spot, it's very easy to work your way in the opposite direction and work the wrinkles until it's flat.

We have neighbors moving in about 5 feet away from us and I wanted to still get natural light from this window but not be able to see their house. This window film works great! I cut it into pieces a bit bigger then I needed and then was able to cut the rest with an exacto knife. The only hang up was that the knife would occasionally get snagged on the film and it created a few rough edges. But you only see them if you're looking closely. The rest of the install was quite simple and easy. It didn't take long at all either. Overall, this works great and we still get natural light without the view of the neighbors.

I love this transparent vynl window film. I placed it myself on south facing windows where I enjoy growing plants & don’t want to open & close curtains. It lets in lots of light for indoor plant growing but blocks outside street views of my interior home even @ night. The textured glass effects are attractive but look a bit “1940’s†antique compared to other more modern textures that I put on other windows. This one does not have an iridescent shimmer like some of the others sold by the same company. Someone threw a rock @ a window and broke the storm window partially but this vynl film kept the interior glass unbroken thankfully! Definitely worth the money & an excellent inexpensive product. My lone complaint is that the wider window sizes are not available much online for small purchasers. I had to match two smaller pieces which look good. However, one single sheet on the window is a seamless home improvement window addition that looks like flawless antique textured glass. Good stick over there last two years!
