Used quite a bit of Styrofoam packaging, which many manufacturers are replacing with more responsible and sustainable cardboard packaging these days, which is also way easier to dispose of - I really don't like little bits of Styrofoam everywhere, which is basically inevitable.I also got a splinter/sliver in the first two minutes of opening and just touching its edges - trust it when it says not to brush it...Instructions are pretty sparse, but have all the common formatting, spelling, and grammatical issues you've come to expect from Chinese product manuals. "Smashing into plastic parts" means "Hammer in the plastic anchors". Perhaps with the increased use of generative AI these instruction manuals will get better.Of course I mostly ignored the instructions, which didn't turn out great here - there are two ways the bars can fit into the wood, and for some reason I picked the wrong way when actually going to mount one. When it looked different from the instructions, I thought I'd done something wrong and tried to bend it back into place a bit, snapping the tabs off of one of the metal parts. Then I realized my mistake (of course) and got the rest of them correct, but now I have one unusable hangar. Better instructions highlighting this issue could have prevented that.Edit: I contacted the seller (without identifying myself as a Vine reviewer, so normal customer service interaction) and explained my situation, being clear that I misunderstood the construction and broke the tabs off of one of the bars. The seller sent a separate bar to me so I could replace the [now] missing layer, and now I have a fully-functional wine rack. Thanks!

For the lumber itself, it's sturdy. The kit comes with screws and anchors in case you're not mounting to studs. However, the wire racks that hold the wine are really only held in place by friction. I tugged on it a bit to see if it would fail. It seemed okay. The holes are drilled at an angle. Just double check when you're installing that the pins on the wire rack that go into the wood are going towards the wall and down (not up!).I'm pretty disappointed with the quality. It's dimensional lumber, cut, drilled, burned (not finished) and then shipped with wire racks. I can't quite tell, but I don't think they even sanded it after cutting it. Meh.

Nice that you can make the racks as tall as you want. Just make sure you anchor them in to a stud or wood backing. DO NOT USE THE DRYWALL INSERTS. The finish is nice. Everyone compliments them

An sich gut. Aber die Stutzen an den Metallbügeln passen teilweise nicht zur Lochung. Mit sehr viel Gewalt gehen die dann doch rein. Bei mir ist bei 4 Holzelementen 1 Metallbügel dadurch kaputt gegangen. Weinflaschen passen gut rein.
