Not for measuring body temperature
This infrared thermometer can’t be used for checking body temperatures, it will not give you the most accurate results.

This thermometer seems to be accurate. It has a red laser dot to show the spot area that it is reading. I tried it in the refrigerator and it agreed with the refrigerator temp setting of 41 degrees. It also seemed to read the wok temperature for hot oil before stir frying pretty well. All in all, it saves using other techniques to know the temp of oil before frying without using less accurate observation techniques.

I have purchased two of these. The first was for the RV. It worked so well that I purchased a second one for home. Batteries last a long time. Seems to be accurate enough for what I need it for. It works on everything from foreheads to pizza ovens. Highly recommend.Edit: don't let it sit out in the rain. The thermometer amazingly still works after replacing the batteries, but the laser light does not. Fine for a BBQ maybe, but not for a pizza oven. I guess I will purchase my third one now and take better care of it 😊

I couldn't get an accurate test on ice. I was able to match a normal analog thermometer in water heating up on the stove. It's really hard to tell on other surfaces without a good way to validate accuracy and needing to know how to change the one setting, I forget what it's called. I've found the laser re-enables itself, which I'm not a fan of. For the price it's hard to beat unless you really need it to be accurate.

I've had one of these things for a couple years (not this brand) and the temperature never held in one spot. it always fluctuated all over the place and you never knew what the heck it actually was. This unit nails it in about 2 seconds. a thousand times better than the last one, plus it's cheaper than the last one.

This thermometer is the perfect addition to my new flat top griddle. Let’s me know the temps for different areas of the griddle. Easy to use and accurate.

As an HVAC technician I use this tool on a daily basis , I ordered it as a backup and it works just as well as my $60 Klein thermometer. Will definitely recommend ordering one of these just to have around the house , I have been using this for a few months now and don’t really have any complaints , it’s lightweight , durable and works great.

Sloppy design work is what you end up with. I assumed this would be a good way to measure things related to cooking and canning. To get a solid reading you need the laser to measure using a flat surface, so measuring a pot or pan will be a failure.I used to use something like looks similar to what I used use to measure a freezer and a cooler in a business. It was a real handy beatie because taking the temperature of these cooling units used to require me to go into these units with a temperature gun and wait for the device to get a clear reading. The new gun, that looked so similar, would not be able to handle the work. It is so sloppy at hitting a surface that it would read and to stay with that surface to read. The readings, no matter what were off--and not a little bit, double-digits wrong.It seems to be a pattern with this gizmo, and shame on Amazon for continuing to sell it. Returns with Amazon are painful. I live in no-man's-land, and our local drop off location is staffed by a staff that is consistently nasty to work with. If you don't have the exact matching shipping containers from Amazon they will cheerfully charge me $3-5 to use Their Packaging. Your Results May Vary as these post office continence stores are independently owned.

Ho vari termometri che uso per arrosti ma soprattutto per le fritture. Questo funziona benissimo, non devo pulirlo, non rischio scottature, occupa poco spazio, è leggero e preciso. Non trovo osservazioni negative da fare.
