This little spigot cover has been a life saver! We needed something to prevent our child from playing with the hose and this has done the trick. I originally use a carabiner to lock it but that was conquered too quickly, so instead now I use a metal keychain ring. This allows us to take it on and off easily but is too difficult for our child to remove. Success!

the cover fits perfectly on my oblong hose bib handle. its has a hard surface, so its not easily breakable. Hopefully no more neighbors will be stealing my water.

My kids LOVE to use the hose! They would spend hours outside watching where the water goes/ what it does! This of course, means a rather large water bill. Having this lock has help so I’m not constantly running outside turning the water off 3 times an hour! It’s saved my sanity!! You must provide your own lock; but otherwise it’s easy to use, easy to instal and it’s really strong/sturdy so my 4 year old can’t break it with his constant shaking trying to get it off.

I had one similar to this except it had a plastic hinge. It became brittle and broke apart in my hands after 2.5 years. Hoping this one lasts longer due to the metal hinge. It also has the benefit of a smaller hole, hopefully allowing fewer bugs to crawl inside?
