It doesn't fall off! It fits my sloping shoulders! It doesn't damage the finish of my instrument (if you tighten it correctly) and the adjustment process is super easy and you can personalize it to fit perfectly on your shoulder! I pair it with their center shoulder rest but placed in the traditional place, and I have seen such a reduction in my shoulder pain and strain when playing (they also connect so that the base of the chin rest is the same for the shoulder rest reducing the amount of attachments on the instrument). It's a bit pricey, but for true comfort when playing it's worth its weight in gold. It also draws the eye and envy of everyone I play with. I've noticed that only having one point of contact for both my shoulder and chin rest also increases the quality of my side as it can reverberate much easier. If traditional rests don't cut it, I swear by this little guy. (Also I use the viola model on a 16.5" viola, if you have a smaller instrument that's more violin sized you might want to check which one would fit better for you)
