I'm really torn on how I should rate this product. I do want to be fair to the company by saying first that this does seem to be a nice, high quality playmat. The mat is a nice thickness, with good printing, decent stitching, and an excellent high-grip backing. It genuinely seems well made, and certainly beats my previous playmats in terms of quality.The "art" also does look very pretty! I wouldn't have ordered this otherwise. The colors are vibrant and beautiful, and this would be especially awesome to use with my Doctor Who commander deck.So if I were judging only based on that, I would give this product 5 stars. Unfortunately though, after receiving the product their materials confirmed that this product uses AI generated artwork.Full disclosure, I am a designer myself and have some personal problems with AI generated artwork being used in products. However for the purposes of this review I'd like to take a second to put those opinions aside and say that there is nothing legally wrong with using this method and that alone doesn't warrant taking stars away from this review.The real reason for my reduced rating is that the product listing (see screenshots, or look at the listing above) specifically mentions using and supporting independent artists. The language used specifically seems to indicate that the artwork is fully created by these artists, and makes no mention of any sort of AI use. If this company wants to use AI artwork, they are welcome to do so, but this absolutely needs to be communicated in the listing. To claim to prop up independent artists while actually using AI generation as your primary artistic method is a horrible business practice. Please, if anyone from the company sees this, update your listing to be honest about the AI usage. Thank you for at least including it in the packaging though.I am still giving the item itself 3 stars for the excellent build quality. If you like it and want to buy it, I'm sure you won't be disappointed in what you receive. But please do so at least knowing that what you are getting is not quite the independent work of art promised in the listing.

This playmat is perfect in terms of construction and function. It's on the thinner side compared to others I own, at only 2.5 mm thick. I don't have a strong preference regarding thick or thin. It arrived in a nice box and the non-slip backing only had a slight chemical odor, which dissipated quickly enough.The print quality is good. The color balance is one area where it leaves me on the fence between four and five stars. It's certainly not bad, and it's better than some of my playmats. The blues are just right, greens and oranges are good, but yellows seem slightly greenish, especially on Vault Boy's jumpsuit. Reds just aren't as bright and vivid as I would expect based on the product images. I often choose playmats with reds and yellows to review because those colors frequently don't print very well. These aren't perfect, but they're good, and give me a fair amount of confidence that other designs from this company will be good as well.Price is on the high side. The playmats I've been the happiest with at around $30 have included a coordinating set of dice and/or a storage tube. You absolutely can use this one's box for storage, but that won't be as durable as what some other mats ship with. That said, I certainly wouldn't recommend against these mats if there's a design here that strongly appeals to you.

The colors are just wonderful, so bright and vibrant. The TARDIS is featured, front and center, and the graphic is well defined. The edges are stitched and the mat is well made, with a polyester top cover and a non-slip rubber bottom.

Nice mat for what it is, definitely over priced. Size is ~1" smaller then what's advertised. I have several 24" playmats and this one is at least 1-2 inches smaller when placed side by side. It's visibly noticeable as well.Stitching is nice, colors pop, feels a tad thin.

This is a well made playmat. The edges are stitched well and what I really like about them is that, at least on the art that I got, was that the stitched edges are dye sub printed too making the appearance of the stitching almost disappear.The art is vibrant and colorful and the edge to edge colors are bright and uniform in appearance. I won't speak as to the originality of the art as everyone has their own take on that and I don't have a strong opinion either way.Yes, the mat is a bit thinner than some I have used, but sine I am not using this to cushion my head from banging against the table that is not an issue to me. The rubber backing holds well on a table and rolls up easy for insertion into a playmat tube.Overall a nice playmat so long as you enjoy the art style.
