I need these female 239s to make 2 much needed common mode chokes. Twelve turns of RG58 around a FT240-43 ferrite toroid core were used for each and they are very effective. One common criticism I saw was that no instructions were included - so here you go. Refer to photos.1) Place one colar and one piece of shrink tube over your RG58. Push them down out of the way for later.2) Strip back about 3/4 in of outer insulation being careful to leave the stranded shielding intact.3) Trim the shielding so only about 3/8 in remains.4) Trim back inner insulation to ALMOST the stranded shielding you just trimmed. A little inner insulation should remain visible between the exposed shielding and center conductor.5) Trim back center conductor, leaving about 3/16 in. Tint center conductor lightly.6) Solder on the the center conductor pin, included.7) Slide on 239 connector, making sure all stranded shielding remains outside the knurled portion of connector. Firmly seat the 239 connector onto the RG58.8) Slide on the silver collar (you placed on the cable earlier) over the stranded shielding/knurled portion.9) Test your connetions with a multimeter to make sure there are no shorts and center conductor tests good all the way to other end of cable.10) Crimp on colar. Slide shrink tube, placed on cable earlier, over assembled unit and heat. Done.I hope this helps others. All parts (not tools of course) were included and I would recommend.

Don’t need to solder. They work great on our mobile radios.

mjc6063's instructions were excellent. The vendor should include an instruction sheet. Note these need soldered center conductors on on both the PL-259 and SO-239.On my commercially made cables, the PL-259 center connector is cut at an angle for easier insertion and soldering. These are not cut. You need to be careful soldering the center conductor as there is no room for extra solder.Even without getting solder on the center conductor, the plug is very tight in the supplied socket. I guess that's good for conductivity, but it's hard to connect... as noted above, a trimmed center conductor would probably help.Overall, I'm very pleased. It also came with some shrink tubing to make it waterproof! I'll order again.

Me agradó la primera vez que este vendedor no me engañó y recibà el producto correcto, muchas veces me han atracado y he perdido dinero pues la transportación de vuelta al vendedor no es costosa, muchos de. estos suplidores se valen para vender su producto.

I get good connections but have to fiddle a bit to get everything to fit properly. Not sure I can blame the connectors, it could be the type of coax I'm working with.

Will not fit the RG8x cable that was ordered along with them.

Nicht wirklich super. Sehr kurze Stecker . In der Handhabung undhandlich. Aber erfüllen dennoch Ihren Zweck. Es gibt bessere zum gleichen Preis.

These connectors are easy to assemble and use a soldered centre pin that is captive to the connector's centre conductor. The solder pin makes for a foolproof attachment and provides for correct cutting length of centre conductor and shield/braid. I'd caution on the assembly of LMR195 cable to make absolutely sure that the foil shield is completely removed from the area around the centre pin. It's easy to have a shield-centre short if you're not careful.
