This is an excellent, lightweight little case/easel. It is a handy place to store your materials and has a nice little built in easel. It is exactly what I was looking for. No, it isn’t heavy-duty, but I’m not building bridges here, just painting, ok? I see some unrealistic complaints by some purchasers. I have absolutely no complaints about it because I paid close attention to the excellent photographs provided. It is precisely what I expected it to be. If you want some heavy protective lacquer on it, you can apply a spray coat on it before using it, but I prefer the way it looks as-is. I mean it’s so inexpensive that I’m mystified how they can produce it for this price - let alone make any money on them. I plan to buy another to give to my brother in law to encourage him to paint because I know he has the talent. All in all, I personally think it’s the perfect small container for my watercolor paints and having a sturdy built-in easel is icing on the cake. You couldn’t build one of these for less than 4 times the price and I doubt that mine would end up being nearly as perfect. Sure the hardware is lightweight, but if it wears out, replace it. No biggie. So no complaints here! Well done! And thanks!

It's really nice. A good medium size, large enough to hold a good-sized cookbook or text book. It has a neat, easy folding option and it moves smoothly and seems to be sturdy. I like the wood, color and finish. Very useful. I also use it as a painting easel.

Design and functionality are good enough. Craftmanship could be improved. The easel and lock are not aligned properly. I had to unscrew the lock and aligned it myself. Packaging also could be improved. It came in a thin box without any foam inside to keep it in place and getting damaged from delivery. Good thing I requested it to double boxed inside an Amazon box, and it arrived without dents considering im located in Asia.

My daughter just started painting about a year ago and so she's still finding her flow, lack of other words, I saw many things made by this company & I was impressed! Then I can across this isle on table and has so many adjustments that are so easy to change! Again impressed, but everyone knows you never know til you order an item! So I did with hope it's was as great as looks and she liked it!? I was pleasantly surprised, in aww honestly! You don't expect such great quality, design & functionality! I was amazed, absolutely love this!! I couldn't believe what great quality this Co had!This is made so we'll, real wood REAL wood! The handle is sturdy & the leather compliments the wood! The clasps are impressive! Overall just the look & feel of it was as "things made back in my day" lol for lack of better words! 😂Yes!! She absolutely loves it! She uses it to sit on her porch and paint, at the dog park with her furr babies and she can bring it with her when she visits me!! ðŸ˜

I saw the video review that someone else had posted and was prepared to receive something that was "okay", but suited my needs. I was pleasantly surprised when I received the item. It seems that her complaint about the hardware was addressed, and the latches on the drawers were updated. The hardware seems pleasantly sturdy, and I appreciate that the hinges are properly screwed into the wood. The interior of the drawers seems like a thinner cheaper material, but since this part of the box is unlikely to see much wear and tear, I'm not too concerned about it. This fits quite a bit of material! You could put paper or a sketchbook in the bottom drawer, I have my Windsor and Newton Cotman pallette, as well as a cheap student grade tin of watercolors, a Yasutomo sumi-e watercolor set a tin of 12 Prismacolor pencils, a small plastic paint pallette 2 rolls of washing tape, some clips, small scissors, a pencil sharpener, and brush cleaner with some wiggle room left over. The two top drawers are the same size and layout. In one of them, I have tube watercolors, brush pens, gel pens, waterbrushes, some watercolor pencils, and 12 Prismacolor Col-erase pencils. In the top drawer I have my paint brushes, pencils, fine liners, a ballpoint pen, blending stumps, and erasers. I'm really happy with this, I love it, and I think it is a great value!

I ordered this item in Dec 4th as a Christmas gift for my husband. I was extremely disappointed that it wasn’t shipped until the day before Christmas so arrived a few days later. The product is what I expected for the reasonable price and my husband likes it very much for organizing his paints and brushes and using it as an easel.

The product looks durable and is light weight good for a desk or lap. But it is missing 2 rods for the hinges and looks used before. It had dirt and has stians on the inside drawers. The packaging didn't nothing on protection on the easel.

This is a well made artists toolbox and easel. My wife has found it easy to use, a good size, not too heavy (even when loaded up) but also very portable.NB One of the hinge pins had fallen out in transit, very easy to refit but one needs to be aware of any missing parts.
