Bought these specifically to avoid scratching my new black ceramic dinner set (the soup/cereal bowls to be exact). I was worried for breakage in shipping based on other reviews but all mine arrived great. Color is a little more on the reddish side of brown vs. dark oak to match my other woods, but they do the job, look beautiful, and so far work with both my cold cereal and some hot stew. photo to see more the true color of reddish-brown

These wooden spoons are absolutely beautiful, lightweight, but also sturdy and high quality. I’ve used them almost every night for dinner and they have shown no signs of wear yet! Holding them feels natural and comfy. Perfect for stew, soup, rice, curry, gumbo, jambalaya, yogurt, açaà bowls, you name it!Super easy to clean, as the nice finish acts as a type of non-stick surface. I purchased the dark finish and it’s absolutely lovely and gives every meal a cozy, homemade touch. Would purchase again—but I have a feeling these are going to last a very long time!

These spoons are a great size for soups, broths or anything else that you like to scoop up and eat. They are like miniature bowls and do not leak. They provide a perfect mouthful of substance. My whole family wants their own now, and I have to hide my spoons from them. I keep one at work [for luncheons], one in my purse [for dining out], and one in my utensils drawer at home. The remaining 3 are still sealed and packed away for future usage. I'm not sure how long these spoons will hold up in their current great condition. One on my spoons is starting to fade in color. I believe some of the clear coating is coming off, but its not chipping. It's more of a gradual thinning/rub off.I hand wash my spoons because I do not think they are dishwasher friendly if you want them to last long.

I use these and chopsticks as my usual eating utensils and they are perfect. They last a few years in daily use and are excellent for avoiding metal utensils, and for keeping me from burning my mouth on a hot metal spoon. They hold plenty for a good slurp. I would not cook with them though.

This is my first review, usually I don’t take the time to review, but this was such a great find I had to share. I wanted wooden spoons or scoops for my glass baking jars in my pantry. The previous spoons I found were very expensive for the size I needed, and I needed 8 spoons! These spoons are perfect for the job, they look so great in the glass jars and are the perfect size for scooping into measuring cups. They are exceptionally priced, beautifully packaged and come with a sweet message on the box! Only problem is I need 2 more!! I will definitely be ordering more and would recommend buying these spoons for a similar purpose!

I read that its best to use wooden spoons with honey, so I bought smaller spoons. Then I thought it would be great to have some for food at work, too. Better than metal, I believe.So, I bought these. They are like big, deep soup spoons but they work well and I love them. I manually wash them off. They are easier to clean than metal spoons.I was worried about the stain on the spoons, wondering if that would be ok to eat with - but so far I do not see any fading, chipping, or anything that would lead me to believe they are giving off some bad chemical.

Feel like a rustic fantasy peasant/hobbit eating your cozy bowl of stew with these lovely wooden spoons. They seem to be durable and smooth, and deep enough for all kinds of soup ingredients. Would recommend!

These exceeded my expectations. They have a nice smooth finish that makes cleaning really easy and they are comfortable to hold. Very nice to use for soups, and I've also used them for serving smaller side dishes like rice.
