You can't go wrong with wooden utensils! These are a nice, heavy and sturdy. The edges are smoothe. They are easy to use however, since they are made of wood, understand that the spatulas are a little thicker than metal or plastic so they aren't the best for making something very flat like pancakes. Besides that, I like knowing I'm not cooking with plastic anymore which is safer for my family. I got the nonpainted color because I anted the traditional look. Don't put these in the dishwasher. I handwash them so that it doesn't ware off the protective wax as fast. You will eventually have to rewax them in time.

These utensils are very pretty and handle well when used. They are hefty so you feel there’s a quality product in your hand. They also clean up easily.

I desperately needed a decent wooden spoon set. Found these on Amazon and when they arrived I threw out the old splintered set for these beautiful ones’. So far I’m very happy with the quality of these and the variety of different utensils. I highly recommend !

9/17/23 - I purchased this set because of a specific selling point in the item description - "natural teak wood without any coating" (see picture). These are very obviously coated with an unknown tinted varnish/toner. I was expecting bare teak per the description. That's not the case.My intention was to make sure these were smoothe and ready for use, and give them an oil/wax finish like every fine wood utensil should be.What is super concerning, is that I am able to see chunks of it in the holes and anywhere an edge is. It's a tinted coating,... very shellac-like in appearance. The colors of each spoon are also very different from each other, and not because of wood selection. This is 100% because of the varnish. The stain itself is a different tint. There's even one piece thats red, and that doesn't match anything else in the set OR any other listing. Two of the pieces have thin/bare spots where the varnish looks to have even rubbed off before curing (picture of that as well), or was applied very thin. Could also be that teak is an oily wood by nature, and the coating failed in that area. This is a Quality Control issue. The handles feel sturdy, and I don't see any obvious flaws in design or craftsmanship. There are no burrs, cracks or scratches. Only a couple of sharp edges which is common. I suspect the edges will be the first failure point of this coating, and sadly this is what touches your food. This means you'll be eating whatever this stuff is.My options are to have them replaced and try another set to see if they are better, or clean these up and refinish them. I don't want to go to the hassle, so I'm going with option number two.The utensils themselves look to be really good quality aside from the bonus coating, they are rigid with no flex - including the spatulas. The holes will need to be cleaned up, and honestly you should remove the coating and refinish them if you'd don't want unknown stuff in your food.Other reviewers mentioned that during the first wash, stain would leech into the water. I used hot water and Dawn platinum, and let them soak for a good 30 minutes. I did see *some* stain leech, but very minimal compared to other reviewers. This leads me to believe the coatings are inconsistent during manufacturing, and the heavy globs around the holes are likely where it's coming from. With a little clean up, these should look aesthetically pleasing and hopefully the same color. I'm not sure why they would use so many different tinted coatings or stain with teak wood, its a beautiful variety by itself... but the proof is in the pictures - the listing is inaccurate. YMMV.I hope the manufacturer sees this and has some info, if so I will update this review.

Absolutely love these, the shine does not go away when washed, as I had that happen with other wooden utensils

Made with teak wood. I like them but they do have a few rough edges. Handles are too short for deep pots.
