My 5 year old grandson is enjoying learning. He is in an advanced program because this amicus has him so far ahead already. The fact that he calls this an old people calculator is forgiven. lol

My older homeschooled kids use abacuses from RightStart Math to do math and my toddler always wanted to join in. I got her this one because I like that it can stand up on its own but it isn't too big to lay it on her lap either. The abacus is sturdy and nicely made, with no rough spots. The little tray at the top works well with the numeral cards but we don't use those yet. The counting sticks made a mess on the floor with the cards and are put away for the time being. But they also seem well made.

I chose this particular one because it's arranged in 5's and seemed less busy with only 2 colors...My 6 year old really struggled with the size... He needed bigger beads.Also, the way they're ordered with only 2 colors is pretty disorienting for kids with dyscalcula. Now I know!

Habe schon mal einen anderen Abakus bestellt gehabt, jedoch war der zu klein und die Steine ließen sich nur schwer hin und her schieben.So ist es hier wirklich nich!Dieses Rechenhilfsmittel ist gut durchdacht, 5 gelbe 5 rote Steine pro Reihe lassen allein durchs hinsehen die Anzahl erkennen, die Steine sind groß genug, dass man sogar mit "erwachsenen" Fingern jeden einzelnen schieben kann. Stabil konzipiert und mit den extra dazu gelieferten Zahlen und Rechenzeichen auf Pappkartons kann man schöne Rechenaufgaben mit den Kindern visualisieren.Top, sehr zufrieden, kann nur weiterempfehlen.
