This isn't a traditional chalkboard, it's some rigid (maybe plastic like) material. But I purchased it to write my seemingly ever changing work schedule on it. I no longer have to log into my work app to see my schedule every day. My day is a bit simpler now.

Got these for the kids to have fun on their bedroom doors. Been a month and they are still loving it. Always leaving cute messages. So light weight and beautiful to look at. Highly recommend.

If you need a lot of these for some reason and plan to toss them after then I think they are fine. Otherwise, I'd spend more and get something nicer - which I probably will at some point. I haven't left writing on them for a while and then tried taking it off. But then, as I said, I'd probably just throw it out. For now, it says "Out to Lunch".

I was pleasantly surprised to realize that I didn’t need to “season†this chalkboard before using the liquid chalk I purchased. I am using this for my nursery and it is the perfect size and is easy to clean. Both sides can be used and a hemp string comes with it.

There are a lot of times where I need to focus on what I'm doing in my room - studying, writing, reading, etc, and even a knock on the door can ruin my train of thought. Having this to hang on my doorknob has been a huge help. I can put like "STUDYING DO NOT BOTHER ME" or whatever, and my roomies have stopped banging on my door unless it's legitimately important.
