I used them to make cat toys . I attached string and feathers and pingpong balls and anything else i could think of that I could swing the dowels and have the cats chase. Toys like this are expensive and fall apart easily so I got the makings(dowels, feathers, the rest I had) and made my own.

I ordered these and got 1" dowels. That is not the fault of the seller, it's Amazon. I kept them and changed my stuff to fit them. I ordered another set and they were slightly undersized and did not fit perfectly. For most stuff they are accurate enough, but they are different sizes.
