Ordered this for a school project my daughter had for Sonia Sotomayor. We order one before this from a different company and sent it back because it was tiny and plastic. This one was solid wood and a nice size. Very nice for the price. Definitely recommend

The "Wooden Handcrafted Wood Gavel Block" statement refers to the block alone. Funny that they put the word "wood" in the product description twice.The block is wood. THE GAVEL IS PLASTIC.And Boy, it sounds plastic when you strike the gavel to the block.It looks nice enough. As expensive as everything is now, I guess I can't gripe much.-misleading though.
